Chuu of LOONA has been abused by her company, BBC, since she was just 16.

She sued to protect her rights.

Now, BBC forced her to leave LOONA & slandered her — saying she bullied employees — in order to lessen the backlash from kicking her out.

BBC’s mistreatment of Chuu: a🧵
General background of BBC: Corruption.
- Sued for 3 million $ because they violated a contract.
- Exposed for not paying employees.
- Possibly haven’t paid LOONA members since debut.
Yes, a company that doesn’t bother to pay their employees wants you to believe that they would fire Chuu to protect the feelings of their employees.
Now, Chuu.

She *is* one of LOONA’s most popular members.

Naturally, BBC exploited this.

She has MANY side gigs. Tons of ad campaigns. A successful YT channel. Multiple TV appearances.

Problem was that BBC got the $, not Chuu (the person doing the work).
So, Chuu sued.

And won.

She filed an injunction to end her contract with BBC. While she still worked with BBC and was a LOONA member, she could have a say in what side gigs she did and receive better pay.
This wasn’t just about money. Her mental and physical health was on the line.

Chuu was so stressed from being overworked that she developed disorders eating / ED symptoms.
Naturally, the lawsuit sparked rumors that Chuu would be leaving LOONA. In response, Chuu said this on fab.
(fab is an app like bubble)

Chuu never wanted to leave LOONA. She just wanted fair treatment.
After winning the lawsuit, Chuu had more freedom from BBC. She could benefit from her work as a LOONA member without enduring BBC’s abuse.

This angered BBC.

As retaliation, they refused to provide basic services to Chuu. No transport to schedules. Excluded from a world tour.
A fansite revealed that BBC refused to give Chuu transportation to schedules (schedules she was doing to make *BBC* money).

BBC would not transport Chuu even if she and the other members were going to the SAME place.
Chuu’s DAD had to drive her to schedules.
BBC has always allowed members to have a birthday vlive.

Chuu didn’t get one.

She arranged a birthday event with her own money.
LOONA was about to have their first world tour. This is a major milestone for every artist.

Chuu was not allowed to participate.

This was blamed on schedule conflicts with activities booked before the tour.

What could be so important that she had to miss a world tour?
…they never told us.
The worst part is, Chuu clearly wanted to participate in the world tour.
Of course, BBC announced Chuu’s absence 30 mins before tickets went on sale so some fans would buy tickets expecting Chuu to be on tour.

Again, exploiting Chuu’s popularity while simultaneously mistreating her.
BBC used the same “pre-determined” schedules excuse to exclude her from LOONA’s Japanese comeback, Luminous AND their first ever jp concert.

Mind you, they NEVER told fans what these schedules were.
Chuu continued to do the same ad campaigns & tv appearances that she did previously. It was only after she sued BBC that these became an issue.
Chuu’s exclusion from LOONA activities & BBC’s current slander against her are retaliation.

Why do this to one of your most popular members? If you’re a corrupt company its logical.

Ruin Chuu. Show the other members you’re mistreating what’ll happen if they sue like Chuu did.
Chuu won her lawsuit, showing BBC that a LOONA member could sue, win, and continue her career free of BBC’s abuse.

This terrified BBC. They’re attacking Chuu to deter other members from fighting back.
Revenge & fear tactics.

These are the reasons why BBC is removing Chuu from LOONA and smearing her reputation by calling her “abusive”.

Lets go through BBC’s slanderous statement:
They accuse Chuu of abusing her power & verbally abusing staff.

1) “abuse of power” — what power? BBC didn’t even allow managers to carry Chuu’s bags for her. She had absolutely no power over BBC and their staff.

2) “verbal abuse”
No evidence. Convenient.
+ BBC staff were the ones abusing their power. On vlive, Chuu & other members revealed that before debut staff controlled what they ate & forced them to starve. They had to sneak past managers to get food.

Below, eng trans of a podcast from the members.
Chuu was 16 then.

BBC starved a 16 year old.

Read that and tell me Chuu had the power to bully BBC staff.

The staff had all the power.

The members had none.

BBC claiming thar Chuu went on a power trip after abusing their power over her for years is disgusting.
BBC says that they hid Chuu’s actions to avoid scandal.

Her alleged actions were mistreating employees. If that was true, they could have simply apologized to the employees & sent Chuu off without alerting the public and causing the controversy they claim to fear.
Companies usually don’t acknowledge a scandal when announcing an idol leaving. Why? It reminds the public of the scandal, which hurts the remaining members.

But BBC WANTS controversy. They want Chuu to be involved in a scandal so she will be criticized instead of them.
