A special counsel will enable DOJ to conceal from congressional investigators details about the Mar-A-Lago raid. Jack Smith already entered an appearance in the special master lawsuit. DOJ appealed special master appointment--they do NOT want anyone to see "classified" docs:
And why? Because DOJ story keeps changing. Remember the outcry about "empty folders?"
Well looky here...
Trump asking Judge Cannon, who appointed the special master, to unseal the affidavit. She should order it unsealed immediately--remember, FBI stole about 13,000 items from Trump's home and claimed about 100 documents had "classified" markings.
Nearly 4 months later, no charges.

One more reminder that Biden's DOJ and now Special Counsel Jack Smith are doing everything in their power to keep ~100 "classified" documents stolen from Mar-A-Lago out of the view of a court-appointed special master and even Trump's own lawyers.
And not bc they're classified.
Hearing scheduled next Thursday before Judge Dearie, the appointed special master. He wants to hear from National Archivist as deadline for report approaches. DOJ appealed special master appointment, circuit now considering whether to overturn Judge Cannon's special master order.
If appellate court does not directly overturn Cannon's order and Dearie moves forward with ability to view so-called "classified" docs, I believe he will issue a report to Cannon by end of the year. Imagine if Dearie concludes none of the docs were unlawfully kept by Trump...
Closing arguments underway now in Oath Keepers trial.
DOJ: "They called for violent overthrow of the United States government. They brought their weapons with them. They threw their bodies at them." WHAT LOL
(Weapons left at VA hotel. It was legal.)
DOJ: Stewart Rhodes in Nov 2020 referred to "1775, the eve of the American revolution."
AUSA Rakoszy reciting private chats btw defendants about what these people planned to do "in response to the election."
"This is a call for force against the authority of the government."
Rakoczy reciting cherry-picked sentences from group chats before January 6.
"They began their agreement to oppose by force the lawful transfer of power. They felt that they were above the law. They were going to save the day."
Headed back to DC Courthouse in a bit to cover government's closing arguments in Oath Keepers case.
After trial yesterday, I went to another courtroom to cover a pre-trial hearing for the Proud Boys--that seditious conspiracy trial starts Dec 12.
Obviously I've covered both...
cases for nearly 2 years but it's different watching trials, hearings live. (And watching how media covers them)
I will lend my new expertise as to what is required to be considered a dangerous "militia" in the eyes of DOJ, FBI:
1) Despite description as "militia" by Chris Wray and prosecutors, DO NOT bring weapons of any sort near govt building. (Both groups unarmed in DC on Jan 6)
2) Engage in lots of heated rhetoric and braggadocio in private group chats very likely monitored or even created by feds.
My observations from watching Oath Keepers trial live this am (I've been following case since Feb 2021 and following @TPC4USA exceptional coverage)
First--this is the stupidest criminal trial in the history of America maybe in the world since the beginning of time.
DOJ has...
spent what must be millions investigating, incarcerating, and prosecuting unarmed people who walked into a public building through an open door after Congress recessed on Jan 6. They stayed for about 20 minutes, hurt no one, vandalized nothing.
These prosecutors should be...
embarrassed. Imagine going to law school so you can put on trial a few veterans including one who is disabled to bolster the regime's narrative that Trumpers did an "insurrection!" on January 6.
Second, the evidence is mostly gleaned from group chats and social media meesages
