We’re proud that a fellow @google worker & @AlphabetWorkers leader will present this proposal. As tech workers, we do not want our labor to be used to enable violence against Palestinians or any other communities
That’s why Proposal #21 at today’s Alphabet annual investor mtg calls for a risk assessment of @Google contracts with militaries & militarized policing agencies, including Project Nimbus, policing agencies like CBP, and more.

@Google Leadership is unjustly retaliating against our coworker and @DropNimbus member, Ariel Koren, for speaking up about how Google's Project Nimbus contract with the Israeli military will enable violations of Palestinians' human rights.

@Google @Google is forcing Ariel out of her position on the @GoogleForEdu team after 6 years of impeccable performance reviews. The retaliation began after Ariel voiced concerns about Project Nimbus on @AymanM's MSNBC show and called on @Google and @Amazon to cut the contract w/ Israel.
@Google's mistreatment of Ariel for standing up for Palestinians is consistent with their track record.

They have previously retaliated against workers who protested contracts that enabled state violence against oppressed people.

We are @Amazon and @Google workers demanding our bosses end Project Nimbus, a $1 billion contract with the Israeli military and government.

We want our labor to help people — not power human rights violations against Palestinians.

Why our campaign matters, and how you can help:
Project Nimbus provides @Google and @Amazon's cloud services to the Israeli military and government, making their oppression of Palestinians even crueler and deadlier.

Our bosses signed the Nimbus contract last May while Israel bombed Gaza for 11 days, killing 250 Palestinians.
Through Project Nimbus, the Israeli military and government can use @Amazon and @Google's cloud services to:

1) Surveil Palestinians

2) Expand illegal Israeli settlements, forcibly displacing Palestinians

3) Inflict violence against Palestinians under military occupation
