4️⃣ The Nagoya model of supply chain cooperation is also under challenge. In era of Covid, conflict and climate change, resilience and reliability are essential.
5️⃣ In a world of civil-military fusion, the definition of strategic technologies has changed. Building deep strengths alone will drive rebalancing.
6️⃣ Geopolitics ultimately comes down to partners and choices. For India, who gives access; who provides markets and who collaborates are the key criteria.
India’s geopolitical positioning would be a net assessment of politics of energy; economics and technological interests, amongst others.

Made following points:
Looking back at 7 decades of engagement,it would be fair to state that India has essentially taken a determinedly bilateral approach to China. There r many reasons fr this including a sense of Asian solidarity&a suspicion of 3rd party interests that emanated from other experiences
Indeed, Indian policy in the past has exhibited a remarkable degree of self-restraint that led to the expectation that others can have a veto over its choices. That period, however, is now behind us. The ‘new era’ is apparently not just for China.
