Megadungeon for 2023. 12 levels. 365 rooms. One room a day. Keep it all in a journal. ⁦@LukeGearing⁩ let’s do this. Image
This is a hobonichi weeks for 2023, which starts you off in December. So I’ll have 13 levels. Get a weekly diary and join in!! #dungeon23
@arcanelibrary you should do this too!!
My other tip— number your rooms with the date. It makes them so easy to find and reference. “Room 1/3.”
Alright folks, this has blown up, so here's my full writeup on #dungeon23 and some easy ways to participate. God speed and good luck!

You don't need this, but maybe it'll help?? Image
Don't judge me I make mothership I don't have any fantasy fonts on my computer. Also I stole these prompts from the warden's guide.
Welp I guess #dungeon23 is what they’ll put on my tombstone Image

Let's talk about pricing and developmental budgets! https://t.co/juRzmYCJgU
So first, a few rules of thumb (there's nuance and tweaks and exceptions, but lets just start here):

!! Set your MSRP at 10x the cost of manufacturing your book. Bare minimum set it at 5x. !!
Understand the margins of the industry: retailers take half. Distributors take another 10%. If you want your business to scale, you need to base your costs on working with something like 40% of MSRP as your gross income.

Been working a lot on the Warden’s Operations Manual for the Mothership Boxed set recently. I’m at the stage where I’m going through old notes to see if I missed anything. So I’m looking at all the stuff on the cutting room floor. This one hurt to lose.
Essentially it’s just a system sheet but man I went through maybe a dozen iterations before I settled on this… and then cut it entirely. Why? This implied a wide open space filled with adventure. Which isn’t Mothership.
Mothership is restricted travel. A neoliberal hell rather than the libertarian utopia (the Wild West) of most sci fi settings. You wouldn’t be able to travel to most of these planets in Mothership because the astronav data is proprietary.
