The categories of people rooting for Tinubu's presidency across the geo-political zones.
1. Anyone supporting Tinubu from the SE is doing it for PERSONAL INTERESTS/MONIES, not love or promise. No true Igbo man will support the injustice/marginalization they get all the time.
2. The SS people have little to complain about. They already produced GEJ from Otuoke. Anyone in support of Tinubu is purely transactional. It's all about the Benjamins. They have oil, they got money. They can't cry. They should just hold their leaders accountable. That's all.
3. The SW people have produced prominent leaders at both regional & national levels since independence. Awolowo, Akintola, Obasanjo, Diya, Jakande, Adekunle Ajasin, MKO, et al. They've enjoyed power more than any other region alongside the North. They can't cry of marginalization
4. The North (NE, NW & NC) have however dominated our leadership positions. They feel they own power in Nigeria & can decide who leads. This oligarchical & cabalistic mindset is a bane in our democratic struggles. Balewa, Gowon, Murtala, Shagari, Buhari, Babangida, Abacha...
Abdulsalam, Yaradua, Buhari again, have all ruled Nigeria. This doesn't include their total dominance of our armed forces & economic sector. Safe to say they own the bullets & the bandages.
Out of all the regions, ONLY the SE have been kept out cos some people feel threatened.
The 2nd Stanza of our Nation Anthem:
"...in love and honesty to grow, and living just and true. Great lofty height attained to build a nation where PEACE AND JUSTICE SHALL REIGN."
I should be happy as a Yoruba man but in all sincerity, I am not. The SE has been alienated.
If truly it is anybody's turn, then it should be the Igbo's turn. But, 2023 elections are actually not about tribes. We have a man in whose hands we can entrust the future of this nation. His name is PETER OBI. Not because he's from SE, but because he's competent and capable.
Peter Obi is the right man. Peter Obi is the only man. For equity, fairness, justice, fear of God, inclusiveness, nationahood, true federalism, competence, capacity, character, Peter is the MAN. It's Nigeria's turn.
@mayowaakinn I don't drag words with women. I respect them a lot. So, let me oblige you on a level playing field. Please I beg you, walk with me on this one:
1. He claimed to be into Real Estate, a direct denial of his 2017 interview where he said Deloitte made him rich by paying him $850k.
@mayowaakinn 2. If rank were to be the parameter for judging who is more qualified to be president, Atiku is better placed because he was VP under Obasanjo for 8yrs. He was closer to the echelons and corridors of power. Tinubu was just an executive governor like Peter Obi. Do you understand?
@mayowaakinn 3. If academic qualifications are to be used, Tinubu is NOT qualified at all. A man whose primary, secondary, university certificates are bones of contention & shrouded in mysteries. The documentary of him that was released started with Chicago Hullabaloo. Isn't that a red flag?
