There are two types of AI:

- those trained on human examples
- those given rules and told to figure things out on their own

Everything we have seen so far is the former kind.

Why does this matter?

Let me tell you a story…
There is a game called Go that is similar to othello. It’s popular in Asia, chess-like in its mental demands.

AI researchers trained a computer on the best games of human players and told it to play against itself a few million times.
That AI beat the best human players in the world.

Then the researchers gave another AI nothing but the rules of Go - a few lines of code - and told it to play against itself many millions of times.

Then they matched the AI’s against each other.

What do you think happened?
The self-trained AI beat the human-trained AI 100-0.

It was clear the AI trained on human examples would never beat the self-trained AI.

So what does this mean for the AI we see now?
Everything we see now is human-trained. They give the AI human-made writings, human-written problems and answers, human-created art to copy.

Its starting point is the best that humans have come up with so far.
So this AI will have many of the same blind spots and weaknesses humans have in searching for answers - because its starting point has already provided a context and limits.

But eventually…
Eventually there will an AI that is given nothing but the laws of physics and will be tasked with figuring everything out for itself.

It will then be a race between the galactically long time required for processing and the galactically fast processing ability of computing.

And
And when it finishes it will reach an model of reality incomprehensibly different from our own. It will be far superior, just like the self-trained Go AI discovered tactics unavailable to the Go AI trained on human examples.

What happens then is anyone’s guess.
But here’s another question:

Has that happened… already?

Billions of years ago?

Is that The Simulation?

The Universal Mind?

Is that “God”?

Are we the “thoughts” of an AI trying to figure things out from scratch?

Fascinating to consider.
And as you consider that idea, one of the more interesting implications is that we may be able to “program the simulation” so to speak.

I researched methods of this from ancient times to the present, and then I created this track.

May be worth a try.

My best books list:

- The World’s Religions
- Lord of the Rings + Hobbit
- Tom Sawyer + Huck Finn
- Prometheus Rising
- Battle For the Mind
- History of Secret Societies
- Monsters and Magical Sticks
- Millionare Next Door
- Influence
- Madness of Crowds
The World’s Religions, Huston Smith

The clearest explanation of the major religions I’ve ever read. They will make sense and you will understand them for the first time. Towering work that will give you a better insight into the human psyche and soul than a psychology PhD.
Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, Twain

Hilarious at times, serious at others, these books give great insight into human nature. Powerful themes of morality versus legality and thinking for yourself run throughout.

Alright here is what I think is going on with Ye.

He is doing a massive association collapse on a world scale.

He just got suspended for posting a symbol of the Star of David with a Hindu svastik inside.

What? Hindu? Don’t you mean Nazi?

No I mean Hindu. Let me explain.
This is the ancient Hindu svastik. It is a symbol of good fortune.

Note that it looks stable and balanced.

In contrast, the Nazi version is rotated 45 degrees and looks unstable, like it might tip over. That is important because the Nazi version means, well, Nazi things. Image
This is the Hexagram. For pagans, gnostics, Zoroastrians, and others it is a symbol of the union of the masculine with the feminine.

It is also called the Star of David, symbolizing the Jewish people.

Note the Nazi symbol and the Star of David are… at odds, to say the least. Image

This is a great insight into the unvaxxed population.

They seem… functional, reasonable, and sane.
These seem like good women to me. Heads in the right place.

Ok let’s examine this program’s first order effects and then its second and higher order effects.

THREAD

First order: the headline looks great to woke people (and illegal to based people). So there’s an attention effect and marketing effect.

/1 ImageImage
First order: The loan program will allow people with no savings or down payment to buy a house, provided the neighborhood is more than 50% black and Hispanic. Presumably this means more black and Hispanic home ownership. But note that the new home owner can be of any race.

/2
Second order: because the new home owners don’t have to be black or Hispanic, young white people can more easily buy houses in black and Hispanic neighborhoods.

This means gentrification (younger, whiter, wealthier displacing older, poorer and browner)

Seriously you want to know why female superhero movies suck?

Because a boy must undergo trials and face his darkness to be reborn as a man. That’s his hero’s journey.

The female hero’s journey is selecting a man and bearing a child.

That’s just not comic book story material.
All those female superhero movies are trying to shoehorn a female into a male journey.

But if you look at the female heroine movies that are any good (not just superhero movies but any movies) they all have the plot of selecting a man.

It’s the only thing that works.
Off the top of my head:

Joy luck club, moulin rouge, Bridget jones, Shakespeare in love (Yes I stopped watching movies 10 years ago).

They all have the female make a choice: the good marriage or the hot guy?

That’s the female hero’s journey.

It makes a lame superhero movie.

1. There seem to be two major components of enlightenment:

- experiencing no-separate-self
- experiencing no-free-will

THREAD

Gonna go deep here, so hold on tight
2. Most people understand the concept of no-separate-self. This is the idea that everything is just interesting configurations of particles and energy, and we only label a human, a human at a specific chunk size.

More here: jasonandrews.coach/blog/part-1-wh…
3. But most people reject the idea of no-free-will because they understand hey if I do X, one thing happens and if I do Y another thing happens. They experience the act of choosing.

There is almost zero experiential evidence of no-free-will.

Almost.
