let’s just break down the cost of midyear for a student real quick… 1) ASHP Membership: $54 #TwitteRx#ASHP22
2) Registration: $340-520
3) Hotels (let’s just stay at the convention hotel cause why would they pick one of the most expensive hotels, right?!?): $278-780 a night. let’s say 3 nights… so $834-2340
4) Airfare: $401-542+ (not exact since these aren’t the dates for midyear)
5) Now that we’ve landed at the airport, let’s get an uber to our hotel: $40.18-74.83
Okay let’s look at food for a day. Since we’re a student on a budget.. we’re gonna do fast food. mcdonald’s breakfast: $10-11; CFA lunch: $12-15; panda express dinner: $12-14 (all not including tax): $34-40 per day of food if you ate only fast food. doesn’t include snacks/coffee
we did three nights at the hotel so we’re going to say roughly 4 days of food (doesn’t include airport food which is even higher): $136-160 #girlsgottaeat
STUDENT midyear trip comes to: 1805.18-3690.83 & that’s eating basically the cheapest food there. no alcohol. no other ubers (not even back to the airport). no shows. nothing fun. no PPS fees. also doesn’t include the clothes to wear there. THATS TOO MUCH. #TwitteRx#ASHP22
