Former Twitter trust and safety head Yoel Roth wrote in his PhD dissertation that minors should have access to hook up apps like Grindr. After people pointed out Twitter was plagued by child porn under Roth, his PhD paper was withdrawn from UPenn’s website.contra.substack.com/p/yoel-roth-ga…
First image is a Wayback Machine snapshot on December 9. Second image is the UPenn page containing Roth's PhD paper as of today.

People knew about Roth's dissertation, "Gay Data," for a while. But here's an interesting timeline:

-Dec. 9, his PhD is still on the UPenn website

-Dec. 10, Elon Musk tweets an excerpt from it

-Dec. 11, it has been withdrawn from UPenn’s website

But really, the UPenn thing is just a minor, if suggestive, part of this much larger question about Twitter's approach to child sexual exploitation on the platform.

Did Roth's views on underage sex influence policy while he was head of trust and safety? We're asking questions.
Didn't include this tweet by Roth in my article because I didn't see it until later, but you can't tell me that someone like this is going to hold views of sex--including as it pertains to minors--that are consistent with the mores of most people.
There's a lot of evidence showing that not only was Twitter aware of child sexual exploitation content on the platform--there's been *a lot* of it--but that the company failed to act. As trust and safety head, Roth played an important part in that failure. contra.substack.com/p/yoel-roth-ga…

Twitter’s “added context” confirms my (and Musk’s) point: Roth argued in his PhD paper that minors should have access to adult services and in general believed in an “accommodation” approach to what other people would consider smut. Just look at Roth’s tweets.
Welp, Twitter has already *deleted* the “added context” note, haha

Brandon Judd, who runs the Border Patrol union, is trying to distract from the fact he supports amnesty for *two million* illegal aliens by attacking immigration restrictionists.

But Judd has a history of *saying* he’s an immigration hawk while *doing* the opposite. 1/
I’m going to repeat myself a little bit in this thread—but that’s OK.

Judd is escalating his attacks through the @BPUnion official Twitter account on the good people at @FAIRImmigration, so this stuff is worth repeating. 2/
First, @BPUnion president Judd was reportedly a key player in the firing of an actual immigration restrictionist: Mark Morgan, former President Trump’s nominee for director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. 3/

Trump said he refused a prisoner swap deal that would've traded Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout for ex-US Marine Paul Whelan, who's been jailed in Russia since 2018. But in 2019 Trump helped free rapper A$AP Rocky from Sweden after he was jailed on assault.contra.substack.com/p/the-marine-b…
Trump essentially bragged that he refused to bring home Whelan in for Bout. It seems he thought it made him sound tough and Biden look weak. But I could only feel sorry for Whelan, who's been passed over by two presidents so far.

Whelan was a Trump supporter.
Like I wrote, Trump increasingly converged rhetorically with neoconservatives like John Bolton on these issues. Bolton said basically the same last thing as Trump last week: we left Whelan behind and that was a good thing because Russia is Great Satan.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/foreign…

Brandon Judd, president of the @BPUnion, condemned Biden last night on “Hannity” for the border crisis. But Judd is at the center of an amnesty push that could apply to approximately two million people and now his union is attacking immigration hawks. contra.substack.com/p/border-patro…
This morning, Judd's NBPC resumed attacking the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), insisting FAIR—an America First immigration group—wants to perpetuate the border crisis for profit.

This is absurd and wrong, and I'll explain why. 1/
Anyone familiar with FAIR knows this accusation is insane because FAIR does the thankless work of calculating mass immigration's cost and consequences.

In other words, FAIR is trying to *save Americans money*--but Judd's @BPUnion says they want to keep the spigot open. 2/

If this doesn’t end with people like Jack Dorsey and Yoel Roth in jail, we aren’t serious. I don’t want viral clips of Ted Cruz popping off his boot and putting it on the counter. I want libs like Roth in a jumpsuit behind bars
Yes I know the intelligence agencies are a problem but the small victory of ruining the life of a lib would be a good start
A lot of people are new to my Twitter,

welcome

In final negotiations, @BPUnion President Brandon Judd is reportedly agreeing with Kyrsten Sinema on a massive amnesty bill. Sinema is telling other senators they support it. Do BP union members know Judd is making backroom deals with Washington politicos?
Who is Judd anyway? He made his bones as a BP agent on the northern border (lol) before leading the National Border Patrol Council.

He's known now for being an ally to former President Trump. But Judd seems to be a careerist who cares more about himself than union members.
Judd, again, is notorious for defending Trump's plan to build the wall. But Judd became Border Patrol Council president in 2013, and until Trump, the official position of the @BPUnion under him was that a wall was a bad and wasteful idea.

Here’s why the US prioritized freeing Brittney Griner from a Russian prison while Paul Whelan, a former US Marine, continues to rot behind bars outside Moscow: Griner is a black lesbian who resents America, making her the ideal citizen in the current U.S. contra.substack.com/p/no-country-f…
Additionally: people, understandably, want to believe this problem of prioritizing individuals based on diversity points is exclusive to Democrats and the left. It’s not.

Recall the A$AP Rocky case.
A$AP Rocky was arrested on suspicion of assault in July 2019. Trump reportedly threatened Sweden with trade sanctions if the rapper was not let out of jail. In the end, he got time served and was allowed to return to the US while Whelan remained in Russia. xxlmag.com/donald-trump-t…
