.@elonmusk targeted Yoel Roth, his former Twitter employee with anti-LGBT conspiracy theories, and Roth had to flee his home due to deluge of threats.

Rather than report on this clear case of stochastic terrorism, @FoxNews targets me for talking about it.

2/Fox and the rest of the far-right media ecosystem have trained their audience to call anything that they don’t like “communism.” Blurring the definition of this word creates a wide on-ramp for white supremacists to recruit by calling Jews “cultural Marxists.”

3/ Fox News readers, many of whom have become Libs of TikTok followers because of Fox’s fawning coverage of the account, are quick to flood the inboxes of their targets with nonsense.

4/ Once a person becomes a target of one far-right disinformation outlet or prominent bigoted Twitter account, a cottage industry of partisan outlets further amplify it. Here you can see a Twitchy reader responding to their targeting.

5/ For the uninitiated, waking up to a deluge of hateful messages across every way you can be contacted online can be a jarring experience. The Fox/LoTT mob comments on videos, posts, and photos that other people have tagged targets in — so friends/family get notifications too.
