I am okay, and very lucky I was with good friends that noticed immediately and took me home to safety.
but if you are out with someone and see them go from normal to extremely drunk very quickly, they may have been drugged. (1/5)
signs of drugging may include a person starting to become wobbly, be confused, more emotional, just not acting like themselves.
some of these drugs only take minutes to start acting, which is what happened to me. I have hours of my night that are missing from my memory. (2/5)
we need to learn how to help someone in the moment if you even have a small suspicion they've been drugged.
never leave them alone, get them home safely and put them to bed. and NEVER let them go home with someone you don't know. (3/5)
I am always careful about where my drinks come from. I was with a group of eight men. it still happened to me.
I hate that we have to have this conversation. but it is SO important to know the warning signs and what to do if you suspect someone has been drugged. (4/5)
please take time to check in with your friends regularly if you are out drinking. I am lucky to be unharmed, but not everyone is so lucky.
I hate that we have come to this point, but please look out for each other. (5/5)
reading the amount of people this has also happened to is breaking my heart. I can't believe this happens so much more often than we talk about. thank you all for sharing your stories. 🫶
