🤔 I remember reading a quote that the most successful people in life “treat it as a game” 👾

& with every failure that passes, it becomes more & more apparent to me why this holds true.

I see it in Gamers especially.

🧵A Thread 🧵Here's the Secret 🤫👇
The most successful people aren’t just casually treating life as a game,

They are rigorously taking action day in and day out,

Applying Game Theory strategy to every decision they make.
These people did not get here by mistake,

They made it through calculated actions,

Continuous improvements,

Consistently showing up & putting in the effort.

Especially when life gets tough.
I visualize them as opening as many doors as possible

With each door that they open giving them an answer.

Every answer moving them one step further down their journey to success.

Collecting & learning from their experiences to apply to future scenarios.
For each success, the same applies.

Except now you gain data points for something that works,

& These data points will begin to compound over time as you start connecting more & more dots.
Their goal in each scenario they find themselves in life?

Obtain the best possible outcome for themselves.

For why else would they be playing the game?

The most successful people play to win.
So, if that’s the true intention of the ‘successful’ players,

Then these players WILL rise to the top.

Why?

Because of there higher percentage of correct decisions they've made over the course of the game (life).
You can’t win in sports, or other games without making more correct decisions than the opposing team or player.

A simple example is as follows:
Lionel Messi didn’t score 91 goals in a year by getting lucky.

He is a cold hearted assassin on the soccer field,

He understands the game so well and can anticipate other players decisions early enough to beat their tackle, thread the pass or score.
& This is exactly the rationale the most successful players are applying to many aspects of their life.

They are observing and logging every experience they have, they are using this experience to compound their efforts over time.
So, logically it would make sense for those playing the game of life to:

Practice & strategize on how to become a player that makes the most correct decisions,

& minimizes the amount of incorrect decisions.
But, because we are playing a game with other players it is not enough to just think about what our decisions will be,

We will actually need to take into account the decisions of the other players,

& Determine how their decisions, will impact your strategy to win.
This, is what is known as Game Theory.

Essentially, Game Theory is the study of interactive decision making where each players outcome depends on the actions of every other player in the game.
The key here is to recognize that in strategizing how you will play against other players, these other players are also doing the same to you.

This can be applied to nearly every aspect of life, whether it is gaming, investing, business, sports, relationships, etc…
Therefore, it makes sense that the extremely successful people in my initial example,

The ones who treat life as a game, understand this concept.

They have spent years increasing their correct decision making percentage.
But how did they actually increase their correct decision making percentage?

There is far too much to cover in one thread,
