Looks more like a desperate ploy for sympathy, because Tesla owners and investors are hot, and rightfully so, after being lied to over and over again, for months.

We will either never hear about this again (no police report filed, so no action), or we will learn they found that little Hyundai burned out and abandoned somewhere near Angeles National Forest, with no further action taken.
I’m not going to post it here, but I just took a look at that license plate that Elon flashed, and it’s a temp paper plate you get from the dealer when you buy a used vehicle until the DMV sends you your new plate. They’re printed out on a laser printer. Anyone could fake a temp.
So scandalous.
