#AvatarTheWayOfTheWater is a just fine installment that explores the world of Pandora really well, Cameron has set up the world and lore really well, but in that process he failed to create an engaging story for this installment ...
We all know what happens when a scene exists only for the sake of creating "awe" . That's what many scenes are in this movie. A predictable story is the last thing a billion dollar budget franchise needs in its initial installments.
But I really gotta praise the visual spectacle I witnessed, I was never a fan of the wildlife documentary, but this movie just took me into the world and made me drool over for every scene. The CGI is impeccable, after all those half -baked Marvel CGI, this was a treat.
This movie will make big business but in a year or 2 when we are watching on our TVs or Laptops we will definitely wonder,"how did this movie ever made that much in Box-Office!", because this film is only made for the big screen. Watching it in any other way is a waste of time.
Go watch itin theatres if you are willing to be awed for 3 hours straight by the visuals and can withstand a normal predictable story. The emotions do carry in many scenes, but not all the way.
3/5 for me , that too for the visuals alone. But we gotta agree that this is not a halfass movie, Cameron really spent a decade on this, it shows in the work but he failed to spend a little more of that time on the script.
