As #FIFAWorldCupFinal comes up, I am proud to say: I haven't watched a single match of this edition of the WC. Not that my watching or not makes any difference to anyone.
After hearing stories of large scale corruption by @FIFAWorldCup officials in getting Qatar to host.... 1/3
2/3 this edition, after hearing stories of how labourers were treated during the construction of the stadia resulting in permanent deformation, after hearing stories of labourers who perished due to harsh work conditions, after hearing stories that the families who lost ....
3/3 their sole bread earners and never compensated.
I don't know how much of these stories are true. But it will be grave injustice to the victims if even one of them is true.
So my boycott of the #FIFAWorldCupQatar2022
And it is shameful that the @MEAIndia and Nepal could not do a proper investigation and let us know what the truth was, so that Qatar could have come clean on this matter.
#TheKashmirFiles has stirred a discussion across India: shows the power of how movies can be used to deliver the right message. Congratulations to @vivekagnihotri for daring to take up this subject and @AnupamPKher for living the role. My thoughts tweeted in this series...

I first heard of the genocide in 1990 thro my buddies @PawanDurani@vinayra89407339, few others: it was 1st year of Engg: we met each other for 1st time barely 3 mths ago.
For most in this part of India, Kashmir was abt Kesari, Apples, Snow, Dal Lake & Shammi Kapoor movies
3/18
But for me, there was more that this about Kashmir: in 1983-84, in an ODI match, a touring WI team received more support than India: Indian icons of that time: Kapil, Sunny, Dilip... had to face booing by locals.
