#transwomenareconmen
I support direct & aggressive attacks on the framing of men as women. That doesn't mean I hate all ppl who are misguided into seeing themselves as such. At the same time, I don't let my affection for individuals make me feel guilty about attacking the /1
/2 the label or concept. Insofar as certain famous, powerful, or criminal people use the trans label, we should be free to criticize them personally (J Marsh, Eddie Izzard). That doesn't mean we are attacking their personhood, but the lie.
There are too many people who conflate
/3 this with saying all trans people are bad. The people aren't bad, but the framing of them as trans is.
That's another problem in this community: there are those who want to coexist with the trans label and they think those of us who want to deconstruct it are bad...
/4 I used to think the trans label was harmless but as I dug deeper I saw that we SHOULD be doing more. We should be decontructing it. And that DOES mean talking about fraudulent aspects and individuals.
/5 There are difference of opinion on whether or not we should (or CAN) coexist with the trans label or whether or not we should unpack it, debunk it and offer alternatives. I don't think we can, and that's not motivated by personal animosity.
/6 that is, I don't think we can co-exist with a "transwoman" class. I think it must be reframed away from trans identity.

Several men have asked why there is outrage about men claiming to be women (#TransWomenAreConMen ) and not women doing the same to men.
Explanation: first, it hurts all of us when we frame diverse men AND women as other than what they are.
Yes, that includes women claiming /1
/2 to be men or non-women (non-binary and other nonsense).
There is are several reasons why we must talk about it more when men do it than when women do it. And it's shocking if you don't know what those reasons are

#takebacktheleft
I agree and disagree.
There will always be a left right pull and a need for that pull. Our current lefty parties are lost and need to be punished into moving back to sanity. Sadly (and I agree with you that most dont want to hear this) it seems they won't /1
/2 make the change without pressure. For most of our parties and elected officials, that means loss of elections and loss of their specific seats. For many reasons, some of us don't want to punish them because it hurts other causes we care about. For others of us, this lie
/3 beats out all other issues.
I am a dissaffected leftist but I also need the left. I am disabled and I need social programs and care that conservatives WILL cut. My situation is dire, to be honest. But I won't be bribed into voting for my parties while they promote this lie.
Meanwhile I am on disability benefits in Canada and am broken. My landlord is talking about selling ( happened before, it's an epidemic now, evictions for profit-rerenting to higher $ tenants) ODSP poverty, housing crisis and inflation are partially @justintrudeaus fault /1
/2 Make no mistake, I support MAID. I don't support disabled people who once had a social safety net and a housing market now finding that they have neither. 12 hour wait to been seen in emergency room, no GP, no housing, tried and failed to return to work. No funding for the

Meanwhile, our government funds the takeover of LGB organizations by straight people claiming to be queer via imaginary identities. Highly privileged, affluent college kids claiming to be more diverse than they are are highly funded-and their
Ask @JustinTrudeau Qs! Mine thread: /1 1. Where's the promised disability benefit?
2 Are females their own demographic entitled to our own words, sports, spaces and activism? 3. Should women be allowed to express dissent about gender identity ideology and censorship #billc11
/2. How much funding goes to promote the idea that TQ+ "identities" are marginalized and should be tied to LGB activism and organizations, even if LGBs don't agree? How does rebranding white, affluent college students as "diversity" via blue hair and they/them pronoun demands

help really promote diversity in Canada. Can't we promote the acceptance of diverse men and women without paying to medicalize them and fund them as non-men and non-women? How much money goes to programs like Gegi.Ca instead of poor, disabled and indigenous
