Today was not a normal football Sunday.

This was a football Sunday of CRAZY endings! (THREAD)

The @Lions game-winning TD with under two minutes left gave them their 6th win in 7 games.

They scored on 4th and inches!

The @Chiefs survived a close one in Houston with ANOTHER OT walkoff touchdown.

Back in LA, with 30 seconds and no timeouts, Justin Herbert made this insane throw in a tie game to get into field goal range...

Joining a new team. Flying across the country. Playing with the @RamsNFL just two days after joining the club. This has been a week @bakermayfield will never forget. (THREAD ⬇️)

MONDAY:

The Panthers release Baker Mayfield, making him available on the waiver wire.

TUESDAY:

The Rams claim Mayfield off the waiver wire.

Baker flies from Charlotte to Los Angeles with the Rams playbook, landing on the west coast at 7:15pm. He arrives at the Rams facility at 9:00pm.

He and his wife check into a hotel Tuesday night.

@GenoSmith3 jumped onto the scene at @WVUfootball, instantly becoming a college football legend.

From 2009-2012, he broke 33 school records and was recently inducted into the WVU Hall of Fame.

Smith was selected with the 39th overall pick in the second round by the Jets in the 2013 NFL Draft.

He was named the starting QB in his rookie season, but saw some ups and downs throughout the year.

In 2016, an Alex Smith TD in overtime got them a win against the Chargers.

@treylance09 takes over the reins for the @49ers tomorrow. But his journey to SF’s QB1 is almost as impressive as his skill set, and demonstrates the resiliency of this 22-year old star. 😤 (THREAD)

As the starting QB for Marshall Senior HS in Minnesota, Trey thought he’d be a QB at the Univ. of Minnesota, or at least another Division I FBS school.

One problem - Minnesota & all the other top programs wanted Lance to convert to a WR or DB.

Trey made it clear: He was a QB.
