Our son was supposed to arrive on Vancouver Island on Dec. 20th. We now hope to see him Christmas Eve, arriving by bus from Calgary, since #Westjet canceled his connecting flight. My wife wrote this ballad about his experience. 1/6
I’ll be home for Christmas
‘Because I’ll take a bus #WestJet abandoned me
To freeze in Calgary
And said, “we can’t help do not contact us!” 2/6
“You’re stranded over Christmas
In a city far from home
It’s late and dark and cold
Our flights we oversold
We have no staff and you are on your own.” 3/6
I’ll bus home for Christmas #WestJet won’t rebook
Although I paid to fly
They didn’t even try
They acted like a bunch of heartless crooks 4/6
I’ll be home for Christmas
Don’t buy what WestJet sells
I know they’ll try to claim
The weather was to blame
So they don’t need to pay for my hotel 5/6
I’ll be home for Christmas
Very late and very tired and broke
You left me far from home
Abandoned and alone #WestJet your “Christmas miracle”’s a joke! 6/6
On Communion in One Kind: I’ve seen some of my friends distressed over Communion in one kind (bread only). While I agree it is not the best, it is still the Lord’s Supper. (Thread)
Jesus’ use of “as often as” in connection with the cup, and not the bread, shows that He anticipated that there would be occasions when wine was not available or possible to use. Therefore optional or occasional communion in one kind is built in to our Lord’s institution.
