My last company grew from $0 to $2.7 billion in 3 years.

The one before that sold for $100M.

Here are 10 startup tools every leader needs:
Rocket Reach

@RocketReachCo is the top tool for finding personal & work emails.

Cold emailing is a skillset used by successful leaders:

→ Recruiting
→ Networking
→ Fundraising
→ Sales/Marketing

Rocket Reach does it all.
Tella

@TellaHQ is a beautiful screen recording tool.

It makes capturing great screen share clips a breeze.

And it's more customizable than any similar tool out there.

This is great for:

→ Quick trainings
→ Sharing new ideas
→ Giving visual feedback
Functionly

@functionly is org chart software.

Most startups neglect upfront org chart strategy.

If you want to ship product, you need a clear idea of how to set up your organization.

Think of this as the communication architecture for your company.
Mem

@memdotai is a self-organizing writing tool.

It lets you take notes and not worry about where to put them.

You stay organized without investing hours of your time making it happen.

This is invaluable for busy founders.
Miro

@MiroHQ is an online whiteboard tool.

But it's so much more powerful than that.

It helps visual your ideas with your team.

Crazy valuable for solving problems collaboratively.
Streak for Gmail

@Streak is a Gmail add-on that lets you track email read-receipts.

It's freaky good at tracking.

This is great for tracking the success of delivered emails for:

→ Sales
→ Recruiting
→ Marketing
→ Fundraising
Justworks

@justworks is a payroll and benefits provider.

Their sweet spot is 1 - 500 employees.

They make payroll, healthcare benefits, and onboarding a breeze.

I've used them for close to a decade.
Jira

@Jira is project tracking software used predominately in software organizations.

It's world class.

You can use Jira for both long-term project planning and day-by-day issues.
First Republic Bank

@firstrepublic — this might look like a crazy one.

But I've had so many problems with other banks in the past.

The big banks are really inflexible.

First Republic is SUPER start-up friendly and has easy-to-use technology.
Slack

@SlackHQ is a messaging app used for the workplace.

I use Slack for all company-level communications → NO more email.

You can send direct messages as well as specific channels for every department and projects.

AI-first companies are going to change the world.

I’m going into learning mode on the space.

I will share what I learn in real time on this thread:
1/ My company Figure is building autonomous humanoid robots.

In the limit, Figure is a AI company.

Performing robot tasks autonomously is arguably one of the hardest long-term problems we face.
Before diving in, I need to plug that Figure is building out a hardcore AI team.

If you want to build a company, open this:
Context:

→ I've been building companies for 20 yrs
→ I built Vettery and sold it for over $100M
→ I founded Archer and took it public at $2.7B

I've seen a lot.

I've made mistakes.

Here are 15 insights to help you build a great business:
Don't be married to your thesis

Things rarely go to plan in startups.

You need to be nimble and quick to adapt.

Have a clear thesis to work toward, but be ready to make adjustments in real time as needed.

11 decisions that will 10X your productivity (at least):
Employ the "No" Pareto

Say no to 80% of the new ideas that come your way.

Your time is your greatest resource.

Don't waste it by doing everything.

"No" is productive kindness.
Work in high-energy sprints

Attack the hardest problems on your plate.

Do all that you can in a single session.

Leave nothing on the table.

Then, rest.

I'm in year 20 of building companies.

Here are 13 hard-earned lessons to skyrocket your career:
Dedicate time to daily study

Spend 1 hour per day studying your craft.

Make goals to get better in manageable increments.

This learning will compound over the years.
Teach what you study

Just like Feynman drew it up.

Once you study, teach it to a coworker.

Sharing your new knowledge will make it stick.

12 cheat codes to 10X your career:
Offer solutions, not problems

Most will just point out what's wrong.

You can point out:

→ What's wrong
→ Why it matters
→ 3 potential solutions to fix it
No agenda = No meeting

If there isn't a written purpose and flow for a meeting, it isn't worth your time.

Either suggest one to be created, or skip.
