I'm like six episodes in and just now realizing Malik is having a mental health break. Now, I gotta start over at episode 1 and rewatch b/c I missed all the clues.
Making Jason and Kelly Pitts' daughter Brittany the new "Melanie"and co-star of the show was a smart and natural move that paid off well.
Reducing the number of characters this time around makes the show easier to follow. In the past CW and BET productions, there were too many storylines to follow.
