I support the Indian RW in their many causes. But I not anti-feminist either. Some say feminism is not necessary in India as we have the shakti concept of primordial goddess energy. Yet feminism gives various tools and structures to women to create the world where their voice 1/n

has space and their life has a purpose beyond any narrow-minded definition. Feminism has provided a ray of hope to women from villages and small towns to fulfill their career dreams. I have often observed that rich and urban women make feminism about something frivolous! 2/n

Yet feminism is required for women who are raped to thrive after the traumatic incident. Concepts like women are powerful, women have sovereignty and control of their own body,women are not responsible for the crimes which occurred on them and their body, women can survive 3/n

I often see posts which say swastik is Hindu while hakenkreuz or reverse swastik is non-Indian. This may come as a surprise but the inverted swastik is found in quite a few ancient temples of India and also the sacred places of the world. The swastika whether straight or

inverted or reverse is a global symbol not used exclusively by Indians . Hindus do not have to feel guilty about Hitler's crimes as he was a white German Christian who was doing crimes on white German Jews. His crimes have nothing to do with our race, nation or religion. 2/n

The 'hakenkreuz belongs to europe' argument falls short as there are many ancient mandirs in India who have that symbol. Like the Dasamahavidhya mandir in Kankhal Haridwar or the Mahabaleshwar mandir in Maharashtra have symbols of the inverted swastika carved in walls. 3/n
