The hyperfocus on carbon emissions as the sole environmental impact indicator has caused delays in addressing other pressing ecological issues.
This narrow narrative, often referred to as Carbon Tunnel Vision, ignores the many other factors that contribute to the health of our planet and its inhabitants.
For example, the emphasis on carbon reduction has focused on plant-based alternatives to animal products, ignoring that holistic animal husbandry practices are humane and regenerative.
Food alternatives will not reverse desertification.
