Prosecutor says police talked to Eckersley’s mother who says the family offered for her to live with them in #MA if she gets substance abuse treatment but that they think the safest place for her is to be incarcerated. #7news

Defense attorney tells judge Eckersley called for help after “unexpectedly gave birth while unhoused, living in a tent.” #7news

The defense says Eckersley lost a lot of blood giving labor, had been through trauma and was disoriented when first responders showed up. #7news
