On New Year’s Day, Bethel Bekele entered a Dollar Tree with a machete, approached Keris Riebel while she was working, and hacked her to death. Police don’t have a motive and, for some odd reason, this isn’t a national story.
I’m posting the family’s memorial fundraiser below.
Reibel, 22, was just married, which is why pretty all public pictures of her are proposal/wedding related.
The pundits, politicians, authors who constantly talk about the American Revolution, about the framers versus King George, about "we need to go back to 1776," are now outraged that a small group of people decided to take a stand against an abusive and bad established authority...
You can't make it up, you can't parody the conservative movement
Trump isn’t pressuring *McCarthy* to agree to the demands people made. He’s pressuring the few people with the courage to stand up to McCarthy to fold ASAP. Trump is apparently fine with defending the status quo, as long as it’s people personally loyal to him overseeing it.
Trump is not anti-establishment. He is anti-people who don’t pledge personal loyalty to him. That’s also why he hasn’t publicly opposed Ronna McDaniel.
Trump could have blasted McCarthy for not complying with the demands the few actual anti-establishment people made. He could have threatened to endorse a challenger. Instead he said, hurry up and seat “my Kevin.”
Then it’s an earned indictment of the GOP. It’s proof the party would rather force-feed people trash than do better. And if that’s the case, then it should happen, and people should reckon with it.
Upsetting the status quo is always painful. It sometimes misfires on the first go. But the message GOP leadership got and needed to hear in this game of chicken was: I’m not going to blink and you need to be held accountable.
If the GOP does worse than McCarthy after all this, then there are much more profound problems than McCarthy with the party.
@RMConservative has documented congressional budget battles over the past decade.
McCarthy held crucial leadership roles in the House when Republicans held the presidency and both chambers of Congress, and yet achieved very little. 2/ theblaze.com/amp/horowitz-m…
“Every single major budget bill that passed under McCarthy’s leadership as floor leader of the last GOP House, which was when the GOP controlled the trifecta and commanded full stewardship over the policies, was passed with more Democrat support than Republican support.” 3/

I’ve always been impressed by Delta guys for being the group to least seek the limelight. Thinking about the story of Joshua Wheeler, who was a beloved family man and yet even his family didn’t know what he really did. Just remarkable indiancountrytoday.com/.amp/archive/j…
The MAGA movement is imploding. You've got most of Trump's camp openly knifing people (including America First types like Matt Gaetz) to save Kevin McCarthy and one of Trump's top advisors, Susie Wiles, is protecting Ronna McDaniel.
The reality of what Trump and his camp are doing completely contradicts the anti-establishment narrative people are trying to cultivate around him for 2024.
One argument is that McCarthy and McDaniel are actually not that bad and therefore it's totally fine to have this sort of thing. But in that case, you're arguing that Trump is basically incapable of fundamentally changing the GOP, which defeats the stated purpose of Trump.
