Q. Happy about the performance ?

🎙 : yes. we are in a most important part of the season. December and the first part of January, are crucial for the ISL. And as a team, if you are capable enough to stay in a positive line to

collect the points, stay unbeatable, then you are on the right path. So I think that again, after a few, changes of the season, with new faces we started rebuilding the new team with new players. And so far, we are happy with the progress and improvement of many players.

🎙: From one from one side, we could say that, but Adrian did a great job tonight as a central midfielder. He's magnificent. He knows all the positions. Even if you put him into football fullback position, he'll do it without

the problem. We knew that JFC will play with a different formation as they played the last game against FCG at home. They did it well. And actually with that confidence they had throughout the whole game, even though they conceded a late goal in the draw. They were good.

We were expecting them to start the game in the same manner. We wanted to be more organised and focused on our compact lines. And then from that position trying to use those empty spaces on the side because when you play against that formation, there is space that you can create

very often situations 2 against one on the side when the boys are getting really good. In the first half, we created many situations in the box of our opponents, which actually resulted with two goals. There were many other situations where actually we could have scored.

I think Apo also had one header that is saved on the line. So as a coach, when you practice certain things, and you see that happening on the pitch you're happy. In the second half, we were struggling a little because they changed the system then it was open fight.

we knew that we have to deal with the long balls and duals. The boys were good. We know that we are in a very important moment, especially last week, Christmas period New Year's everybody's casual and we as a team, we don't want to be casual.

So we want to continue the same way and of course delightful with three points because now we are third on on the ranking. I think that we have more points than last season this period. And now with let's say positive flow of 8 games in a row without defeat, we want to continue.

Q. Areas that needs improvement
🎙: Tomorrow when you think about certain situations that you didn't like during your previous game, then talks with the coaching staff, and decide to work on certain topic, whether it is it like working on your defensive lines or offensive

movements or some other things and that's the beauty of football job and coaching job. It's never ending job. At one point, as a coach, you sit down and say, okay, everything's perfect. No, it never happens. There is always something you have to improve, if not with a team then

on an individual basis. So we will continue because many of these young boys, they just started on the ISL level. They didn't have proper preseason period with us. And also today, we had like four players playing with antibiotics. So they had a flu, they were not feeling good.

throat problems and Dimi, Apo, Jessel and Luna, they were playing today on antibiotics. So it's great to see them also, even in difficult circumstances, playing that game, where they played. And of course, as a coach, we have to continue working every day, we cannot stop.

Q. Is it hard to replace Apo with Ivan.

🎙: In Kerala Blasters, we are very honest to each other. So as a coach, I always communicate with players in advance, what are our plans, how we want to play, what we want to achieve. Of course, there is a rule that can only be four

foreigners on the pitch. So for coach, it's a uxury problem, to pick the right combination. But anybody can play and we don't have one injured player. So that's the good thing from our side. And then as a coach you you make a decision, and you make a choice. That's it.

So the boys, they know the job. They're professionals. So for us, it's not a headache. It's kind of making the decision depending always, of your opponent, if you want to play with a foreign midfielder or to play with the three players up front. It depends

Q. What Rahul needs to upgrade.
🎙: speaking about moments finishing every time when we have these individual sessions. So you must know that in football, it happens once in a while that one country or one region, you'll get one player like like gift from the gods speaking about

Messi Or Luka Modric. And then you can create things around those players, every other aspect of football game, as a coach, you have to work with the players, you recognise talent and then it's work. So whoever we speak about, Sahal, Rahul, Nihal or Bryce

any player they have to work because nobody has been born with that quality. And nobody learned that from his birth, like, Okay, I know everything I know. It's like the word that you repeat every day, every training here to repeat that. If it happens during the
