What if the world of Madoka Magica exists in an eternal timeloop?

A thread theorizing the potential end of the Madoka☆Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten.

#魔法少女まどかマギカ #madoka_magica Image
Madoka gets rid of the whole witch curse as she whisks the magical girls away the moment they begin to turn into witches giving them a hopeful end, however, Homura after becoming a demon rewrites the whole universe, and with that, +
she reforms the law of the universe potentially restarting the witch curse (as the magical girls indeed exist in her verse, source: reddit.com/r/MadokaMagica…).
Some things that back up this statement:

1. Witches didn’t exist because of Madoka’s control over the universe which is gone in Homura’s verse.
2. Necessity of incubators to handle curses. ImageImage
3. Homura’s world seems very unstable hence giving rise to further unstable emotions and witches and Walpurgisnacht's nature is the despair of other magical girls.
4. The next movie’s name is Walpurgisnacht, its said that Walpurgisnacht is where the witches meet on the Brocken +
to dance around a fire and mate with the devil (Homura in this case) or kiss his bare behind.

The world returns to the "normal" state as it was in e1 or it is supposed to from Homura's perspective however since we know how the other magical girls can feel the anomaly + ImageImage
it made me come to the conclusion that the final climax of the last movie might set universe down to:

1. the same path it started in episode 1 or
2. to the first meeting of Homura and Madoka before Homura’s time loop starts. + ImageImage
Both serve the same purpose narratively so it doesn’t matter, this would be possible bc of sense of harmony between Madoka's selflessness and Homura's selfishness and just how extreme both ends are. +
Selflessness: Madoka’s or original series’ end at Episode 12 and her ultimate wish.
Selfishness: Events that later happen in rebellion happen bc of Homura’s selfishness

And since Homura overwhelmed Madoka in rebellion when she arrived, it makes me believe that the demonic +
influence of demon Homura would be the reason for the tragic end of all the magical girls in Walpurgisnacht as well as in the original series after the time loop to the start of the series & that would be the reason, Homura (human one from original series) alone would have the +
power to go back in time and bc of demon Homura and human Homura's indescribable love for Madoka the timeline will repeat itself and the loop will again continue. This, in essence, would result in demon Homura being perpetually hollow and criticize her view of love presented +
through how this particular end of the Madoka Magica series feels empty to the audience while encouraging Madoka’s view (the beautiful and hopeful yet bittersweet end of original series.)In other words, the original series itself isn’t hollow, +
if the time loop is repeated/rewatched by the audience till the original series then its hopeful, i.e, Madoka’s view of love whereas going ahead of the original series makes it hollow giving the message of how Homura’s love ultimately is hollow.
This theory is further supported by the vintage gramophone at the end of the rebellion, just like there's a melody when the record plays (original series), and then the instrument starts to give shallow surface noise in the second loop similar to Homura’s verse/perspective of + Image
love (assuming the gramophone isn’t an auto stop). Again, supported by how this particular frame has movie/movie strip filter (something that can be re-winded). This together can be considered as the foreshadowing of the nature of Madoka Magica’s world and time and what it +
amounts to.

I also think Homura’s final form would be Walpurgisnacht itself after the grand loop begins again giving us four different Homura’s throughout the series: 1. Human 2. Human/Witch from Rebellion 3. Demon 4. Walpurgisnacht. +
This doesn’t affect the theory just a very cool detail to go by adding more layers to Homura as a whole.

Walpurgisnacht Homura is a high possibility bc of these events tying together. + ImageImageImage
Walpurgisnacht Homura was the reason for the despair of human Homura and is the reason why Madoka could become a Witch after making her contract and destroy Walpurgisnacht Homura in one attack since Walpurgisnacht Homura is hollow she isn’t as strong as demon Homura +
after the grand time loop since this timeline is a harmony between Homura and Madoka’s view of love. Possibly explaining what was Madoka despairing over + ImageImageImage
,other than the inability to completely erase the possibility of the formation of witches as we can assume by what the incubators said, +
and why she herself tried to save homura by giving her hope and even came down to SAVE human/witch Homura to go down the same path in rebellion but ultimately failed and had to finish the Walpurgisnacht Homura from previous loop.

End. ImageImageImage

thread on how vagabond applies expressionism in its narrative to portray its essence.
#Vagabond #バガボンド Image
Expressionism is an artistic style in which the artist seeks to depict not objective reality but rather the subjective emotions and responses that objects and events arouse within a person. The artist accomplishes this aim through distortion, exaggeration, primitivism, and +
fantasy and through the vivid, jarring, violent, or dynamic application of formal elements.

Vagabond tackles expressionism in a lot of ways, from visual metaphors to the dynamic application of storytelling methods through matahachi’s role as the narrator of Musashi’s tale, to +
