Today #PLA released a short video about a Coastal Defense unit (MUCD 92768) that @JosephWen___ already covered in a post (

). This thread will cover a "new" YJ-62 deployment site from that video and another new YJ-12B deployment site in the same region.

@JosephWen___ The new YJ-62 site was first shown in videos related to PLAN Coastal Defense unit's training during the 2022 summer Taiwan crisis. After much silence, in a new year video of PLAN, the site was shown once again from a better angle. Today video also covered this site.

@JosephWen___ The site originally was created between 2005 and 2009 and consisted of 4 launch and an additional, longer support pads (of concrete). Next to the pads there are 1 compounds and 1 field(vary in purpose) that confirmedly, and another smaller building that likely belongs to PLAN.

@JosephWen___ The YJ-62 deployment site is located at:

@JosephWen___ Later the pads were partially covered by a new road, and became less visible and from that time there are no visual confirmation that it was used. The oldest confirmed deployment was from late 2020, when one of the pad was abandoned and a new was created seemingly with gravel.

@JosephWen___ Since than the site was used at least 3 times, with the same setup, 4 YJ-62 on the 4 launch pads, and support vehicles ~200 meters eastward alongside the road (where the longer support pad once was). The field also covered with tents when the YT-62s are around.

@JosephWen___ The purpose of this deployment site is unknown, but probably its for training only, since its low in elevation and while its aimed at the sea there are many islands in its direct way. But I let Coastal Defense experts decide this.

@JosephWen___ While the YT-62 site is only 10 kms from the main base, there seems to be a new YJ-12B deployment site ~50 kms to the south, close to the shoreline. The large concrete pawed pad(~10k m2 in size), that looks just like a parking lot, but its a military site.

@JosephWen___ Since its creation, this site seen countless deployment just alone in 2022, and a unit is repeatedly appears at here with high frequency(weekly or biweekly). The YJ-12B vehicle identifying was done by @benreuter_IMINT.
