Like Zelensky Guaidó was at the congress and everybody cheered for him. … Now the west pretends nothing happened and will try to stabilize relations with Maduro.

Putin ordered a ceasefire from 6th Jan 12:00 pm (noon) to 7th Jan 12:00 am (midnight), in honour of Russian Orthodox Christmas.

Question -> Will the big offensive start after the ceasefire?
- The ground has frozen
- Troops are in place and ready
- Feb 24 was after a holiday

Two conflicting theories:
1) Grinding the troops down will collapse the Ukrainian defence capabilities with minimal casualties -> so keep grinding
2) A slow collapse of the Ukrainian army will lead to Polish or a NATO intervention -> so finish it quickly

Reasons pro offensive:
1) the Poles are mobilizing 200k troops, if you want to avoid that confrontation, it’s time to end the conflict with a “Big Bang”
2) a punch from Belarus south can cut off NATO supplies and end the war earlier … effectively reducing losses long term

Soldiers can also press the button themselves. “If a soldier is seriously wounded and doesn’t want to be captured, he can activate the self-destruct function himself. This can maintain his dignity, as well as prevent the enemy from obtaining this system,” the report stated.

So ... if somebody is able to hack that system or capture an officer and force him to give out the system codes, they can just "self destruct" the entire army ...
