I’m very grateful for each and every interaction and I’m happy this has become a widespread conversation. I never imagined my thread would blow up like this and I regret not bringing up the issue of mob mentality that the community suffers from. 🧵 (1/11)

#MAProject #warriorsmap
Please don’t use this discussion as an opportunity to point fingers towards certain individuals. No one is solely to blame for the current culture of MAProjects and my thread is not a call for action towards a single person. (2/11)
The tone of the conversation shifting from a civil discussion on the community as a whole to putting blame on a few selected individuals is a big reason why these problems developed in the first place. And I doubt this came as a surprise to anyone. (3/11)
People are eager to pick sides and it’s satisfying to take out one’s frustrations on a “justifiable” target. However this mentality harms everyone and many of us are afraid that we’ll be the next target so I get why people are so quick to shift the blame somewhere else. (4/11)
This community has the tendency to turn any conversation into drama, either personal or impersonal, so I’m clarifying my intentions. There shouldn’t be a divide in a constructive conversation such as this since there is no concrete villain in the situation. (5/11)
The only target of my thread is the normalization of harmful practices and the worsening conditions within the community. I can’t keep anyone from taking the conversation somewhere else but I do want to be clear about my own intentions with making the thread. (6/11)
My thread was inspired by certain projects but not necessarily the people behind them but the underlying issues which led to the conditions that I pointed out. This result was inevitable and I personally don’t blame anyone in particular. The situation has simply escalated. (7/11)
I made the thread out of love for the community and because I’m scared that even more people will experience burnout and develop unhealthy habits that could severely impact not only their health, but the relationship to their hobbies, work, passion and confidence. (8/11)
Also I’m not claiming everyone has faced the issues I’ve talked about. If you can’t relate to what I’ve said then this thread was never about you nor does it say anything about you or your work. I apologize if I made someone feel like I was undermining their experience. (9/11)
I’ll also never namedrop anyone under any circumstance nor will I share any “lists” of individuals I’ve personally deemed as “problematic”. I understand why people have asked me for such things but I’d like to remind everyone that I’m an anonymous person; a stranger. (10/11)
Don’t hold my opinion over someone else’s. You don’t know who I am and it’ll probably stay that way indefinitely. I try and retweet a wide array of opinions even if they don’t completely align with my own as I’m trying to keep this account neutral and informative. (11/11)
As a sidenote; it's been lovely to read your experiences and I'm happy so many feel comfortable sharing their stories. I've tried to read each and every tweet but I've been drowning in notifications since the thread blew up so I've probably missed some.

The Multi animator project (MAP) community is becoming unhealthy. Consider this thread an anonymous letter from a MAP veteran with over 10 years of experience in the community. 🧵(1/13)

#MAPcommunity #multianimatorproject #warriorcats #warriorsmap #ocmap
“MAP HELL” is a concept many of us are intimately familiar with, but the actual damage of this phenomenon is rarely talked about. We need to be able to have a discussion about the ugly underbelly of the community. (2/13)
I lost my passion for animation years ago due to burnout. The mere idea of joining a MAP brings me great anxiety, and my ability to create art has been severely damaged to the point I’ve considered completely giving up on anything creative. (3/13)
