A few weeks ago, @RonWyden drafted a letter highlighting privacy concerns and matters around @GeorgiaTech, Rodney Joffe, and Neustar.

It represented a sincere interest and I applaud him for that, especially given our political climate.

Lets talk more about it.

1/x
First, he correctly noted that Neustar was selling data to @GeorgiaTech [They aren't the only ones to raise questions about, more on that later].

For background reading, here some some FOIA'd documents that mention "Neustar"

2/x
.@RonWyden also correctly noted that the DOJ routinely tasks DARPA, and inexplicably, some of these taskings ended up at Georgia Tech - including this example.

3/x
Returning to the thread from this morning, we can zoom in on one section Mr. Dagon's attorneys were arguing.

He is saying the DOJ tasked Dagon to look at Alfa Bank allegations after...they had anonymously funneled the information through Sussmann to the FBI months before.

4/x
"The work related to queries submitted by the U.S Department of Justice (DOJ) through DARPA regarding Russian communications between Alfa Bank and the Trump Organization."

Remember, he is making this argument with hundreds of thousands in legal fees hanging in the balance

5/x
It's hard to call him a liar, because he would be risking his immunity agreement to obtain hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees through deceptive/false statements.

6/x
But lets return to Senator Wyden's letter.
So Neustar told Senator Wyden they weren't selling any more data...

7/x
But they certainly still were during 2021 - Note the additional PO that was going to be needed for the "remainder of 2021."

8/x
It's not like Neustar didn't know, or they should this was for educational research. There are numerous emails including both Neustar and DARPA representatives, and they knew damn well they were handing over their customer data to be data mined.

9/x
That is not the only company involved. Numerous emails reference Comcast, Cox, and Centurylink in contact with Manos Antonakakis at Georgia Tech. I am less certain of what was provided by Comcast and Cox, but it's a question that needs to be asked.

10/x
CenturyLink (now Lumen) had a rather alarming exchange.

Handing over all your netflow is a WTF moment. And DARPA was all for it.

11/x
In response to inquiry, Lumen said the following.

Additional follow-ups have not received a response.

12/x
Stick with me, because now we get to some meat.

13/x
Within the Department of Defense exists a classified program collecting metadata from all over the world. While that may not surprise you, it's quite shocking to see Rodney Joffe involved in this effort, providing COMMERCIAL data to the Department of Defense.

14/x
How it all fits together with the NSA/Cyber Command/DOD is a question I hope @RepThomasMassie and @JamesComer will include their inquiries - even if Congress approved these programs, this isn't right.

Where is the 4th amendment? Can we get a data privacy bill?

15/x
If you've been following the TrustCor and Measurement Systems LLC stories, companies affiliated with Rodney Joffe, you wonder if this is the connection of that data being sold to the US government.

16/x
Big h/t to @TheAndersPaul for snagging the image above. If you'd like to read the rest of communications I have referencing Kirk, see these documents:

Here we go...

As background, the Sussmann case identified four individuals, Rodney Joffe, David Dagon, Manos Antonakakis, and April Lorenzen.

They had alleged a secret communications channel existed between Trump and Putin by way of Alfa Bank...

1/x
The data and allegations have been alleged by the CIA/FBI/prominent independent analysts to be manipulated, not technically feasible, or fraud.

They force-fed it through multiple channels to the media, the FBI, CIA, largely with the help of Clinton operatives & Fusion GPS

2/x
The FBI wanted to interview the alleged author of the white paper, David Dagon of @GeorgiaTech in Oct 2016 but were rebuffed by FBI leadership.

So how would you feel if some of these same cyber researchers had gone on to help SCO Mueller and did the DNC hack attribution?
