Most people struggle to get their first Product Manager job because they get overwhelmed, not because they don't have the skills or experience.

Here's how I've helped 1,000s with this problem 👇

We believe that more options to choose from means that we'll have better odds of succeeding.

Instead, with more options to choose from, it becomes harder to make a decision and it becomes stressful.

This is called the Paradox of Choice.
For example...

How can you break into Product Management?

- Internal Transfers
- Intense Networking
- Building Side Projects
- Volunteering with non-profits
- Shadowing PMs on your team
- Resume with transferrable skills
- Doing a Master's Degree (e.g. MBA)

and finally 👇

- Joining another company first, then networking internally

Sounds like a lot to do and consider, isn't it?

Answer these 3 "easy" questions:

🤔 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿:
🟢 Getting a Product Manager title?
🔵 Getting into a company without the PM title?

if you choose...

🟢 Getting a Product Manager title:
- Find Startups: Focus on your strengths and industry expertise. Search for startups in your industry.

🔵 Getting into a company without the PM title:
- Focus on your role: Apply to the company where you want to eventually become a PM.

🤔 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲?:
An MBA might be the (Expensive) right move for you.
Not looking to change location (country) or industry? You don't need an MBA.

🟢 Yes → Spend 1/3 of your free time working on a side project and 2/3's on entertainment.
🔴 No → Don't worry about building your own side project.
