You can achieve ANYTHING you put your mind to, make sure you have positive thoughts and self confidence that you CAN do this! everyone believes in you, it’s just a matter of you having the self discipline and the right motivation
✧ 2. PLAN PLAN PLAN
I like to plan my day out in the mornings so I know exactly what I’m going to be studying that day, and it makes it harder to procrastinate when you have every hour dedicated to something
✧ 3. Have snacks and drinks
It can be easy to get sleepy especially when studying boring subjects or for long hours, water is super important and juice is also good! i like having something sweet for the longer study sessions as it helps you stay awake and be energised
✧ 4. Reward yourself
If you have something to look forward to at the end of the study session, you’re more likely to want to finish it (it can be watching a show, going out, or even having a snack you’ve wanted for a long time)
✧ 5. Take regular breaks
Try to make sure you DO SOMETHING in those breaks, whether it’s some exercise, dancing, walking around, just try to not to stay in the same spot and just use your phone on your breaks
✧ 6. Healthy competition is good!
I find that I work best when I’m comparing myself to others and it helps motivate me (eg. Am I the best in the class or out of my friends?) just keep in mind this can get TOXIC so try to keep it as healthy and friendly as possible
✧ 7. Surround yourself with people that motivate you
It’s very easy to get side tracked when you’re hanging out with people that have different priorities. It’s important to have friends but just remember you also have other people that remind you to study in your life
✧ 8. Set targets for yourself
Setting daily/ weekly targets help with self discipline and help you hold yourself accountable (these can be 2/3/4 hrs a day for eg. depending on your routine and schedule)
✧ 9. Change your study space regularly and keep it tidy
You don’t have to stay in the same place everyday, it’s very easy to get burnt out, but make sure it’s clean and organised as it will prevent you from getting distracted
✧ 10. an app I love using is yeolpumpta - you can write your daily to do lists and track how many hours you have been studying on your personal “planner”. You can also join study groups and meet others that have the same study goals as you!
✧ I hope this helped and let me know you guys have any questions!! im not perfect myself, I struggle with burnout and stress but these tips and the community on #studytwt rlly helped me! <3
