🗣️: Typically, Economic Development has been centered around companies. As an emerging set of leaders will take us into the next generation of economic development, we need to center conversations around people and community.
🗣️: When it comes to investing in under-served communities, the last 3 years have taught us, we can't do things the same way we've always done it. We have to think differently, innovate and accelerate to meet the opportunities we see in this new environment we're in.
🗣️: States and cities need to work together. We ought not to divide urban and rural. We have to remind folks that the opportunities that we see for big federal grants require coalition building between regional leaders.
🗣️: Our states and cities need to embrace all of the assets and collaborations that make our regions work. Shared economic prosperity is the way to break down walls.
