Nature recently found that, "exposure to the Russian [internet troll] influence campaign was eclipsed by content from domestic news media and politicians."
In September 2017, I wrote that the RU campaign was, "the equivalent of throwing a few matches on top of the raging bonfire that is the well established, vicious, American-funded inferno of far right media."
That said, we've learned since then that the troll campaign(s) also became ways to facilitate cooperation, both IRL and online.
Meanwhile, Elmo is turning this hellsite into a machine for fascism, re-platforming a number of far right figures, including some with ties to Russia.
Relatedly, yesterday I noted that #MattyDickPics ignored his own propaganda when he claimed that FBI's reports to Twitter about campaigns to suppress votes had nothing to do with building cases.
#MattyDickPics, of course, someone who betrays rank ignorance about cybersecurity in all his Twitter propaganda, is sure he knows better than the entire cybersecurity establishment about whether the 2016 DNC (and DCCC and John Podesta) attacks were actually hacks.

Here's a claim from #MattyDickPics' latest SubStack. In it, he suggests that cloud platforms have better visibility on the authenticity and location of their traffic than the public.
It's utterly devastating to #MattyDickPics continued PR for RU on 2016
In fact, it goes to the heart of #MattyDickPics' screaming ignorance abt attribution of the 2016 hack-and-leak: Not only did FBI attribute to RU, based off BOTH forensics from the targets AND evidence from cloud platforms, not only did security companies, but so did the platforms
Worse still, Twitter is not Facebook (or Google or Microsoft, all of which have FAR better visibility & tech than Twitter has ever attempted (cf @dotMudge).
Even in what #MattyDickPics has covered, there are indications that Twitter doesn't have perfect attribution.
I mean, aside from all the 🚨🚨🚨 in this paragraph that make you scream bullshit, I love sentences in Jan6 filings that obscure whether something happened before or after Jan6.
The reason Jeremy Bertino said he didn't want anything to do with Joe Biggs' attorney Daniel Hull was not the seeming tie to a deposition about his own stabbing, but what happened in fellow Proud Boy Jay Thaxton's deposition before J6C.
One thing Hull did repeatedly was to try to ascribe Thaxton's knowledge of things like the Proud Boy Ministry of Self Defense thread to @RawStory's @jordangreennc. Just good journalism.
ABC's @KFaulders probably owes taxpayers more context about what @JamesComer is doing with his gavel--he's holding a hearing on why Twitter took down revenge porn.
It is a fact that James Comer has made, as his top priority, a hearing on why he wasn't able to see Hunter Biden's dick pics before Biden was elected.
@KFaulders@JamesComer I mean, at least ask Comer to go on the record about why Hunter Biden's dick pics are his top priority before you give him a headline.
