🇧🇪 Victor Campenaerts put out 528 watts for 5' and 424 watts for 20'. In all sprints afterwards he put out 1000 watts. Very promising for the classics, surely because he's very aero and only weighs +/- 69kg. Watch out for him during Omloop! 👀

Next up: 🇧🇪 Florian Vermeersch. He didn't share his watts, but all riders did tests on the same climb so we can still compare with VAM, climbing speed per hour. On the 5' test, Florian has a VAM of 2034 VM/h (Campenaerts 2000).

Florian is 12,5 kg heavier than Vocsnor, but climbed a bit faster. 🌪️ That means he put out a huge 5' power. His 20' VAM is a bit lower, 1400VM/h (vs 1425 Vocsnor). That's where he suffers from being heavier. Still very promising results. 👌

🇧🇪 Arnaud De Lie did 557W for 5'. The 5' power is an important stat for Sanremo. Clearly not a problem. He didn't do the whole 20' test, but stopped after 17'. You'd say he was cooked too soon, but he still did 3x 30" at 1200W. Strange. 🤔

Frederik Frison produced the most surprising tests. 🔥 A very good 5' power (570W), but his 20' power is bonkers: 490W. His sprints are good too, no sprint under 1000W. We haven't seen him sprinting a lot, but he's clearly able to do so. 💪

👑 Breakaway king Thomas De Gendt put out 542W for 5' and a 20' power of 426W. He matches some of the Classics riders, while only weighing +/- 69kg. If you were doubting De Gendt for 2023, don't. 😉

🇧🇪 Sylvain Moniquet is the rider who might 've done best: 8 W/kg for 5' and 6.6 W/kg for 20'. He was a promising rider in the youth, but struggled to show his worth with the pros. Mainly because of bad luck. 2023 might be his breakthrough year. 🤞

🇧🇪 Lennert Van Eetvelt didn't share watts, but his VAM says enough. In the 5' test, Moniquet had a VAM of 1989 VM/h & did 8 W/kg. Van Eetvelt did a mindblowing 2075 VM/h, the best 5' VAM of all riders. He suffered from mononucleosis recently. 🤯

🇦🇷 Sepulveda did 7.3 W/kg for 5' and 6.4 W/kg for 20'. Promising numbers for the new climber of the team.
Segeart and Paasschens did similar numbers, but the former is 5 kg lighter and 7 years younger. Strong performance by the youngster. 👏

🇧🇪 Milan Menten was very happy as both his 5' and 20" power results are all time personal records. His sprint afterwards (2x 30" 1000W) are also strong, even more because he only weighs +/- 68 kg.

A late addition to the thread. 🇩🇪 Johannes Adamietz did 471W for 5' and 388' for 20', with a weight of +/- 61 kg. This translates to 7.7 and 6.4 W/kg. Great results to start your first year on ProTour level!
