from an anynomous client of his always serve to further ripen his fruition and allow him to execute his actions flawlessly. All JC knows is that XC is the embodiment of all evil, a devilishly intelligent businessman who runs the most successful undeground market and always slips+

away successfully from the clasp of JC's eagerly clawing hands. That was till one day, where JC chances upon him on the rooftop of a building where the latter had found out that XC, once again, had deep connections too, and they then fight against each other, the incensed inferno

spiralling viciously across JC's pupils not allowing him to notice the gladdened and endeared smirk on the older man, who fluidly deflects every attack and results in them looking as though they were engaged in an elaborate yet spell-binding dance, each movement deliciously+

complementing the other as it then provides XC a minute avenue to close his distance with the other, brushing his lips against the neck of JC, leaving the other dazingly rooted to the ground as he takes his leave.
Many might assume he was only dumb-founded due to the glaringly+

audacious acts of the Lan, but though JC's ears still roar racously as pink dusts his temples, he had wanted to pretend he had never heard what the other had said.
That he had told him he was proud of him doing a good job.
A few months pass with not any significant chapter+

spilling across the pages, but JC had been accumulating information ravenously to ensure he could improve his ability to stem all corruption, though his curiousity of the anonymous client only bubbled more furiously in his cauldron of determined tenacity.
As he curls his toes+

in growing frustration, it was as though a sudden bulb had kindled staggeringly within him, almost profoundly blinding him with stinging clarity.

Not wanting to ask anything or daring to parade around his fascinated hunger to seek more answers from the taller man, JC just sees the other smile at him warmly before he closes his eyes and leaps smoothly from the building, his heart+

finally burrowing in snugly in the ebbing and flowing of his placated core knowing the person that mattered most to him finally know the truth.
But just as he makes peace with his ending, XC's eyes pry open as his chest constricts, biting his lip continually and hoping against+

all stars his judgement of JC will finally be wrong. That he will not be that daft or stupid as XC strongly believed his pure, ferocious heart to be.
But he was tragically right yet again, seeing the younger man jumping right after him, his eyes still carrying the same ardent+

tender aggressiveness XC had become enslaved to; the man he knew who had no bounds to love and protect those he cared for, who would go against the clutches of fate itself and wreak havoc if it meant he could save who he loved.
JC just reaches XC as he cups his head softly,+

pushing the latter closer to himself as he hugs him tighter, using the gained speed from the fall to shove themselves closer to the window pane with his cord securely tied around the edge of the rooftop allowing him to break into the room.
'You fucking fool.'
XC blinks his eyes,+

chuckling obstreperously in spite himself after hearing such unexpected first words from Wanyin towards him.
'Why didn't you tell me the truth? Why the fuck did you make me hate you till the end?'
XC just smiles as he leans against his palms with his hands stretched out behind+

him.
'You are a brilliant man, Jiang Wanyin. I knew you would figure it out sooner. I just...I just wished you had allowed me to meet my end as I should have.'
JC grits his teeth as he smacks XC's head, earning a startled grunt from the other though he makes no haste to retaliate

and instead hesitatnly peers at Wanyin, his brows knitted in tremulous trepidation yet inundated with specks of wistfulness.
'Thank the fucking stars I figured it out. You have been saving our city from the start, ensuring the unruly and inevitable growing of the black market+

would be carefully regulated so that it does not teteer into utter immoral chaos. And providing me with all the fucking information only a person with connections could derive.'
XC's breath quickens, his eyes gaining a tinge of brightness as he revels in knowing Wanyin finally+

knew the truth.
That his Wanyin does not hate him anymore.
If the devil himself rips his heart to shreds then, he would not have given a fuck about it and instead surrender himself to the darkest pits of hell.
'After knowing the truth, you now wish I would fucking let you die?+

Even though you humilaited me with such obscurity of truth, even if you had still done morally dubious things and taken me for a fucking fool, I will sooner die than ever let you entertain such a fucking notion again.'
XC's lips tremble, his eyes quickly filling up as he tries+

to look away from JC, really ashamed as he knew how much he had hurt him.
'I never took you for a fool Wanyin, I swear upon my soul. You are the most smartest, determined, ferociouisly loving man I had ever met in my life. All I was was a tool that helped you sharpen your blade+

whenever you needed to. Don't you dare sell yourself short ever again.'
And as soon as sees JC's eyes grow sharp again, XC closes his eyes yet again and awaits the moment the biting slap reaches his cheeks, but instead is enveloped in a crushing hug, feeling his heart flutter as+

he feels the growing warmth on his shirt as tears stain them.
XC ignores all threads of logic unravelling inside him, finally appeasing to his deepest, cavernous desire as he hugs JC with as much intensity, pulling him closer as he breathes in the scent of him; the mixture of+

and sweat only accents the hunger and yearning sweltering within him.
'Never fucking do that again, XC. I know the truth now, so rest assured I will not divulge it to anyone. Just continue helping me as I help you, and let us now, with no pretences, protect our city.
Together.'+

And as JC does not move away as XC keenly looks into his eyes and slowly allows his gaze to fall onto his lips, the latter captures them urgently, pulling him for a tighter embrace as he tries with all of his might to impede the growing lustful craving to devour him then and+

there. For nothing can be more appealing than delayed gratification. And for Jiang Wanyin, Lan Xichen could wait even till the whole world razes into ruins.+

As JC looks up at him and gently rubs against his cheeks, kissing his forehead tenderly as he rubs his back in a consoling manner, XC’s heart screams ecstatically, knowing it had finally reached its home
