Seems like a big resurgence of interest in #Starfinder. Like my Pathfinder co-workers, I wanted to answer some questions about how to get into Starfinder.

So get ready for an overview of our unique science-fantasy setting. Strap on in, and share if you can! 🧵 1/13
If you've played other RPGs, I'd suggest starting with the Starfinder Core Rulebook. It has all the rules that players and GMs need, as well as information on the Pact Worlds and wider galaxy. It even comes in a convenient pocket-size edition. 🧵 2/13
If you're newer to RPGs, or just want to dip your toe in, then I'd suggest the Starfinder Beginner Box. This is a simplified version of the Starfinder Rules that can get you and friends into the game ASAP. However, know that it's not the full system and has some changes. 🧵3/13
OK! Once you've got your in into the game, your group is going to need the Alien Archive. Think of this as a manual of monsters, or a bestiary. However, it also comes with a ton of player rules and rules for creating your own creatures and NPCs. 🧵 4/13
For a setting overview, you'll want to start with Pact Worlds, which details the heart of the Starfinder setting: The Pact Worlds (surprise). This is the same solar system as Pathfinder's setting, just in the FUTURE™ and with Golarion strangely missing. 🧵 5/13
For an adventure to run. I'd strongly suggest giving Junker's Delight a try, as it is built to be an introductory adventure that goes from 1st to 4th level. Alternatively, if you're wanting a longer experience, then the Dead Suns compilation is the way to go. 🧵 6/13
Diving deeper into the game, players should pickup the Armory and Character Operations Manual. Both present a TON of new PC options and expand the breadth of gameplay. Also, everyone wants more options and guns, right?! 7/13🧵
If you're interested in Starship Combat or Mech Combat, then you probably want the Starship Operations Manual and / or Tech Revolution, which respectively hit on those topics. Also, come on... MECH COMBAT!!!🧵 8/13
The Galaxy Exploration Manual is a treasure trove of content and inspiration for GMs looking to create their own content for campaigns. It pairs nicely with any of the remaining three Alien Archives, but really shines for GMs who want to make their own adventures. 🧵 9/13
Even as we speak, Starfinder is still exploring its first Interactive Event: the Drift Crisis. This is a product AND event that allows campaigns to be part of a major change in the setting, either in homebrew games or in prewritten modules. 🧵 10/13
Starfinder Society is a chance to play with people across the world, and a constant source of new adventures. There's probably games in your area, as well as stores and conventions around the world. 11/13🧵
Along with all this, we provide maps and accessories. Want a pre-made asteroid map? Or maybe a destroyed city? How about some reference cards for different species or rules? We support your game (physically AND digitally)! 12/13
There hasn't been a better time to get involved in #Starfinder, with all sorts of new content just on the horizon. I'm excited to see new faces in the community; we always have more space at our table. 13/13
And tossing the ball right back @JasonBulmahn for setting me up for this. GO READ ABOUT PATHFINDER TOO!
