Trossard started his career at KRC Genk with numerous loans at the start of his career to Lommel SK, Oud-Heverlee Leuven and KVC Westerlo. He made 120 appearances for Genk scoring 39 goals and providing 21 assists before moving to Brighton in 2019 for €16m🇧🇪 #Trossard

Leandro has made 121 appearances for Brighton since his arrival, scoring 25 goals and providing 14 assists. His performances have helped Brighton climb the table each season and they're currently sitting in 7th place in the Premier League. #Trossard #Brighton

Trossard made his national team debut for Belgium on September 5th in 2020. He has 24 caps for the Red Devils, scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists during those games. He was also part of the World Cup squad and played in all 3 of Belgium's games.🇧🇪 #Trossard

Based on Brighton's setup this season we've seen Trossard play either through the middle or on the left wing so it's normal his shot selection comes from the left side as he can use his right foot but surprisingly he's been using his left foot a lot from that side as well.🎯

An important part of his game is also his defensive positioning which as seen in the graph below has enabled him to recover the ball on the left side of the pitch for his team. I'd imagine he'd be very useful for Arteta's Arsenal in that way too.💪 #Trossard

From his pass map we can see he loves to play balls towards the middle of the pitch to stretch play or attack and that is partly because of how Brighton setup sometimes but it's also because he has the quality to find his man when passing through the middle.🪄

Based on his stats we see he loves playing through his teammates with his passing and is very pragmatic when pressing in the opposition's box. He has impressive ball control and that makes him extremely dangerous and unpredictable for defenders when he enters the final third.🔥

Fans might not have expected Trossard to be the signing Arsenal would make in January to push on their title charge but let's take a closer look why Arsenal believe he's the solution they seek to maintain the title challenge...

As I've said before he's mostly playing on the left side and is right footed but especially this season he has used his left foot to score very impressive goals. Trossard is what you'd call a "big game player" as he always puts in his best performances against top teams. ⚽️

His ability on the ball has never been questioned and his passing just this season proves that. He loves to find solutions for his teammates and is often playing through balls or trying to combine with his teammates, something which the current Arsenal team love to do as well. 🎯

I do feel people skip over his most underrated quality which is his dribbling. He can beat his man 1v1 as much as any other winger in the Premier League. His IQ when dribbling is what enables him to outsmart his opponents and is often leaving them on the ground.🔥 #Trossard

One thing that people can already figure out about Trossard is his versatility. He can play anywhere across the front 3 and has been playing half of his games this season on the left wing and half as a CF. Quality depth on both wings has been badly needed at Arsenal this season.

He could even be the touchline winger for Arsenal and his attributes indicate he would thrive there, especially in Arteta's system. One other thing Arteta could consider him as is an #8 in Xhaka's position. Trossard will raise depth levels in multiple positions. #Trossard 🇧🇪

I guess fans will question his attitude after the recent bust up with previous manager De Zerbi, but I have no doubt we wouldn't be signing him if Arteta wouldn't feel like his mental aspect fits into Arsenal's young squad. I believe no other major flaws surround him.💪

In my opinion I do believe Trossard will prove to be a big success at Arsenal and I feel fans are a bit underwhelmed because of the recent Mudryk saga. I hope Trossard can become an instant success as he could be crucial for the Premier League and Europa League.🔥 #Trossard
