My opinion on the #LGBWithoutTheT Movement, a thread 🧵
Remember this is my opinion, and I don't want to be harassed by old cis white "LGB" terfs over it.
I'll start by saying, first off why is it even a thing anyways? I get that you think Trans people are groomers (which they aren't), but is that mindset necessary?
We're all on the same team. We're all the minority here. Acting as if you are the ones being oppressed, while also pushing away Trans people is wrong. The fact you think we, Trans people are not real, is bringing up your own bigoted and Transphobic views.
"Trans people are trying to take away women's rights" I'm very sorry that you think this way, but it's not true. Trans people just want to exist, and Trans women are not "taking away women's rights"
You all argue Trans people don't belong in the LGBTQ+. I think that's bullshit.
Trans people have been here since the beginning. Remember when we all used to be on the same side? Remember when everyone was being killed by mass genocides?
"Drop the T, Trans people are not valid!" Did you not read your own history? Trans women of color helped start the fight for LGBTQ liberation, but 50 years after Stonewall, they have been left out and left behind.
Erasing them from the struggle for freedom has had devastating consequences.
Learn your queer history. You fight for equality. You fight for equal rights. The fact you exclude the very people who have stood by you since the beginning takes away everything you have all fought for. It's disgusting and honestly sad.
You are moving backward and blaming others for your own hate. Most cis straights still don't like you having rights.
You fought for equality. Embrace it instead of pushing away the people who helped you gain it. They're already removing Trans rights and passing bills to get rid of Trans People in America.
You're next, and if you keep with this movement, and keep advocating for killing off and getting rid of Trans people, they won't help you win back your rights.
Trans people are as valid as everyone else in the LGBTQ+ community, and the fact you want to break and tear this community apart proves you never wanted part of it in the first place.
