Do these 5 things after 7PM.

And your life will never be the same:
1. Reflect

Ask these 3 simple questions:

1. What happened today that I'm grateful for?
2. Which actions moved me towards my goals?
3. Are there any changes I can make?

I love these questions because they strike a balance between gratitude and self-improvement.
2. Disconnect

Imagine trying to park a car that's going 70MPH.

That's essentially what you're doing when you hammer your brain with work/TikTok videos right before bed.

Toss your phone.
Get off the computer.
Slow down the car.
3. Set a plan

A productive day starts the night before.

The simple act of writing down your 3 biggest to-do list items can create a ton of momentum for the day ahead.

4. Stretch/Breathe

Cheating a bit with a 2 for 1 here.

So far we've focused on the mind—but what about the body?

Light stretching/deep breathing is an amazing way to release the tension of a busy work day.

Trust me.
10 years from now your body will thank you.
5. Read

Reading is the best way I've found to slow down my mind before bed.

If non-fiction is too stimulating—try fiction.
(I'm reading the Game of Thrones series now)

It's a big adjustment at first.
But it's one of the best habits I've ever built.

Mindfulness: A Guide For Dummies
❌ The Problem:

We spend much of our time consumed in thought.

Fixating on a past we cannot change—and a future that is out of our control.

Increasing feelings of:
- Stress
- Regret
- Anxiety

Most of the time spent in our heads is unproductive and unhealthy.
✅ The Solution:

Mindfulness.

Creating separation between yourself and your thoughts.

Many people believe that THEY ARE their thoughts.

This is false.

With mindfulness practice, you will come to understand that you are the observer of your thoughts.

7 habits that are damn hard to do—but will pay off forever:
1. Fixing your sleep

I used to think it was normal that I felt fatigued by 4PM every day.

It wasn't until after I fixed my sleep, I realized I had been deprived of it for years.

Low quality/quantity sleep will kick your ass.

Here's what I did:
2. Delaying gratification

Your ability to delay gratification will largely determine where you end up in life.

It sounds extreme, but it's true.

You wouldn't plant a seed, and dig it up every 2 days to check on it.

True growth requires patience and discipline.

9 small purchases ($100 or less) that changed my life:
1. Ruggie Alarm Clock

ruggie.co

Struggle to get up in the morning?

This helped me beat my addiction to the "snooze" button.

It's an alarm clock that forces you to stand on it before it will shut off.

Great if you want to build an early-morning ritual in 2023.
2. Blue blocker glasses

If you work at a computer. These are a must.

Extended screen time (blue light) can cause:

- eye strain
- headaches
- brain fog

Reduce it with a pair of these bad boys.

Another option is blue light blocking software like:
