STUDY TIPS: Medical Technology Edition

— 🧵 #studytwt #medtechtwt
MIND CONDITIONING. before anything else, conditioning the mind have a powerful effect on our behavior once we begin the study sesh. convince yourself that you will be able to successfully cross the journey, otherwise mahihirapan ka.
SCHEDULE. this is essential when tussling with procrastination. it will serve as a baseline for productivity. sorting out tasks will help you keep track, achieve your goals and priorities.
TO-DO LIST. the program is overwhelming af, tatambakan talaga tayo. you can either do this digitally or on paper, your choice, but NEVER ever do it mentally — don’t forget kasi every point matters and you will value time once you enter medtech. one lacking activity means a lot.
BREAKS. regular breaks should be a part of your schedule — it reduces mental fatigue. allow yourself to take a break for recharge. prone to exhaustion and burnout ang medtech and i swear an hour break is enough.
GOALS. this one sets a path and purpose. DONT’T SHARE, people can be very demotivating. when aiming for a score, aim for the highest, do not just settle sa passing score. be better for yourself, do better, you can do it.
STUDY SPACE. tidy your area, put away distractions. a clean and organized study space helps improve focus and productivity. don’t be pressured sa aesthetic, make sure lang na you have a space for studying.

messy desk = excuse to clean > studying delayed
DO NOT CRAM. cramming is part of a student life pero wag mo namang ilaki yan. it’s not a flex. it may be fun for you pero it is prone to stress and panic, not really good for you. do not cram esp when studying, this means not associating yourself with procrastination as well.
TRANSES. making your own notes is a time consuming process but is a huge advantage on your part pero do NOT shoulder everything, mapapagod ka lang. divide the task with your friends. ask your prof for resources, BE CONCISE.
MNEMONICS. associate the complicated with something familiar. you will benefit here the most.
STUDY TECHNIQUES. (1/3)
1.Spaced Repetition.

in simple terms, this is a technique where you study in intervals. this one strengthens retention. review your material in an increasing interval. this is where active recall comes in the picture.
2.Feyman Technique.

understand the topic and pretend you are a teacher, discuss the topic in a way na mas maiintindihan mo — to the wall, it’s fine, or sa plushies, kung saan ka comfortable.
3.Pomodoro Technique.

this will help you in maximizing your output. strictly follow the alotted time. study uninterrupted, it will help you focus and digest the topic.

i do 45:10 (short break) 45:25 (long break) kasi tamad talaga ako, dapat generous sa break, self love lang
REVIEW QUESTIONS. references usually incorporate assessment questions every after the chapter. self explanatory, assess yourself, what have you learned? priming yourself with this technique will help you in rationalizing why the other options are wrong. set a timer din for fun.
ASK FOR HELP. in college, you are bestowed to seek help. surround yourself with good support system. dont be afraid to ask questions.
above is my routine hehe. i tried to keep this as short as possible. medtech is fun, it’s a no pain no gain experience. discipline, patience, and perseverance is the key.

laban lang future rmts 🫶🏼
