1/ The appointment of this Dr by the Biden admin to our dietary advisory council is the perfect illustration of how pharma and big government are rigging nutrition guidelines for $

2/ Dr Stanfords advocacy for "genetics" first in explaining obesity conveniently aligns with the mass prescription of Semaglutide (weight loss drug). 60 minutes does not disclose the manufacturer of said drug paid her thousands of dollars in 2021 alone

3/ The NYT also featured a big interview with Stanford just days ago barely noting the conflict of interest in what was essentially an advertisement for the drug

4/ In that interview Stanford specifically advocated for a bill that would require Medicare to cover said Drug resulting in a multi-billion dollar profit for the very company paying Stanford

5/ The appointment of such a person to the dietary advisory council and elevation by the media specifically downplays the immense impact that proper dietary and nutrition adherence can have in treating obesity

6/ And to be clear. Semaglutide is great for the morbidly obese. BUT it should not become the new SSRI doled out to any and everyone for huge profit. There is no silver bullet especially when someone wants to sell it to you
