Compendium of what it called Islamic laws
(Majmooa’-e-Qawaneen-e-Islami) mainly related to personal law issues. The Compendium specifically refers to kafaa, and insists that birth, and, therefore, family status, which also includes caste in the Indian context, is a basic 2/5

ingredient of it. It says that a non-Muslim convert to Islam is of the same kafaa as an original Muslim, but in the footnote it says that this applies to Arabs only. Presumably, therefore, according to this bizarre interpretation, an Indian male non-Muslim convert cannot 3/5
