Best months to buy a used car:

Nov/Dec

Best months to sell a used car:

March/April

Here’s why 👇
Used car dealers are BUSIEST in March/April.

They need more inventory and are willing to pay top-dollar (generally-speaking).

On the other hand…
Used car dealers are the LEAST busy in Nov/Dec.

They can afford to be a lot pickier with their inventory acquisition during these months.
That’s a wrap.

My new experiment. How it works:

1) Comment what car you drive and your monthly payment

2) Like, RT this tweet and follow me! @GuyDealership

3) I'll pick one random person and payoff their next car payment :)

GO!
Housekeeping:

- No purchase necessary to enter
- Winner will need to submit proof of car payment

Let’s have fun and share this with anyone who can benefit!
Shout-out to Matt Spangle for this awesome idea!

I want to break the internet.

What can I do for you all that will be an absolute game-changer?
Unrelated, but remember when Kimmy K ‘breaking the internet’ was a top news story?

The good ol’ days.

Cars that I won't sell without a warranty (even to my worst enemy):

Land Rover
BMW
Cadillac
Porsche
Mercedes
Audi
Jaguar
Here’s why:

- Lots of expensive electronics and components that go bad (Unlike most domestic, Japanese and Korean cars)

- Expensive to repair

- Pain in the a** to repair

- Bonus: BMWs always leak 🙃
To be clear… MY WIFE DRIVES A GERMAN CAR.

But it’s covered by a big fat warranty 🫶

Used cars under $25K are the SAFEST purchase right now.

- Supply is scarce
- Holding their value
- Unlikely to change

Let me show you 👇
Day’s supply for used vehicles based on price range:

Under $10K = 36 days

$10K and $15K = 45 days

$15K and $20K = 51 days

$20K to $25K = 57 days

Over $25K = 60 days
If you need a used car, but don’t want to get caught ‘holding the bag’, stick under $25K.

On the other hand, used cars >$25K have lots of price risk. Supply is very abundant and prices will likely fall faster.

Good luck!

UPDATE: Carmax sold 57% of its ENTIRE Tesla inventory in the past 24 hours 🤯
Carmax, by the numbers:

1/13/23 8:09 AM ET:

696 Teslas in stock

1/15/23 8:09 AM ET:

301 Teslas in stock
WE’RE DOWN TO 275 TESLAS NATIONWIDE ON CARMAX!!!

This feels like an Automotive version of meme-stock mania

Except @CarMax is the beneficiary and i’m not making any money 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Tesla ended 2022 with 64.6% EV market share — Nearly 10X more than second-place Ford.
According to Cox Auto:

In Q4 2022, and for the FIRST time, Tesla's estimated share of EV market in U.S. dropped below 60%.

According to me:

That trend is going to reverse.

Here's why...
Tesla's recent price decreases will hurt all-around in the SHORT RUN:

Investors, car owners, dealers. All screwed.

But in the LONG RUN:

It will greatly STIFLE competition and help Tesla gain MORE market share.
