A CTA rider etiquette refresher may be needed: 1) Taking off your backpack and holding it near the ground helps more people fit because it doesn't take up as much room that way. There aren't as many trains running... let's help get as many people home or to work as (Thread List)
possible. 2) There is a fast and slow lane on the escalator - Walkers on the left; Standers on the right. 3) Let others off before you try to get on. 4) Don't block the entrance in general. 5) Backpacks are not riders and should not get their own seat. 6) Feet are not riders
and should not get their own seat. 7) Move to the center of the car so we can get everyone on and people don't have to climb over you. Or... if you want to be near the door step off the train and to the side while others get on. 8) Don't try to inch your way to the door before
your stop when it's crowded, no one wants to let go of the hand rail while we are stopping and fall on their ass because you are impatient. We'll move when the train stops, I promise. 9) You can't lean against the polls that everyone else is trying to hold onto, your back takes
up too much room and I don't want to be touching it. 10) We don't have the same taste in music, so headphones are appreciated. 11) Do I need to say no smoking... apparently I do. Obviously safety is the most important on the CTA, but a little politeness might help too! #CTA
