Last week, Vanity Fair Italia released an issue featuring Madonna in their spread. The 𝘢𝘳𝘵 direction had many people looking at this sideways. Let transcend through recently released videography

Disclosure: The following thread is intended to educate and opine on art and entertainment. This is not intended to provoke harassment to any of the said individuals. Any images will be subject to commentary, criticism, and education, therefore falls under Fair Use.

I also want to preface to you, that while there will be criticism of certain works, upon looking into the creative works of some individuals I will rather offer constructive criticism in regards of Christianity being mocked.

We'll start with this promo image which was the costume design for the cover of VF Italia. This image is a rendition of Mary, mother of 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 in whats known to be, "Our Lady of Sorrows". Each of the 7 swords represents a sorrow.

The seven sorrows of Mary are listed below, in pertinence to Jesus, Son of God.

As the videography furthers, the next scene has a echoey whisper of "Oh my god". As the scene reveals, it is an image of Madonna portrayed as Jesus Christ.

See this is the beginning of my criticism.

The 12 Apostles of Christ are replaced by scantily dressed women and feminized men.

Lots of gluttony and lustful images surrounding a falsified diety. All of this mocks Jesus' last meal before his betrayal and arrest.

This is momentous for Christians as this causes remembrance for what he was about to do for all of mankind: die on a cross.

Then it leads to the next scene where it seems to portray a attribution to ... Frida Kahlo.

Personally, I don't like how everyone is trying to make feminized men a normalcy. Besides the dude wearing a dress, I think the rest of this scene could have been artistic and benign.

....Up until Madonna is on the bed, legs spread where she seems to transcend into a fantasy.. and....

It gets hella weird. A bunch of models bare in their chonies, wearing cardboard animal masks.

It's giving me...... Rothchilds' Surrealist Ball-1972 vibes

Wait, wait, wait.... I might be onto something. I found this article from Business Insider from 2016 where the journalist visits an !llum!n/\ti party.

"When applying to purchase tickets, guests are asked to identify themselves as either a 𝙥𝙞𝙜, 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙠𝙚𝙮, 𝙢𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚, 𝙘𝙤𝙬 𝙤𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣."

So YEAH, again, Madonna seems to be fantasizing about this 𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨-fest

So this next scene she seems to be throwing tomatoes with her hype-men in the background and a dude wearing a captain hat. Like IDK lol. Weird scene, but i like the dress boning.

I have to take a quick pause to say, I looked into the fashion director for this, and I actually admire her work MINUS the weird symbolism pieces, which don't seem to drown out her portfolio. B. Åkerlund has a frisky use of color, seems to like regality in her work, and..

She seems to be edgy without having to be overtly provocative with everything she does. I think her style is DOPE, honestly. Like I said, she does work with celebs quite a bit, and those works seem to have some symbology. Minus the occult pieces and attributes..

Her style is a 𝖌𝖔𝖆𝖑. I think it's important to not completely rip and overshadow one's work, if the other pieces of their work seem edgy and benign. Just my personal opinion.

So with all that being said, my constructive criticism would just be, if they all decide to care one day, to not mock our faith with crazy images of our God. I mean ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ who am I, right? Like I said, I admire B. Åkerlund's style, and ensembles, just not doing it for mock.

I mean because, think about it. They wouldn't mock 𝗔𝗡𝗬 𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 faith. Just Christianity. Thats how it is, how its always been.

Ok I had to say all that to transcend into the next scenes---which are a bit weird. We then enter into weird scene with the doll-parts skeletal brassiere.

Given, let's be honest about what we are seeing here: doll parts. But...

What disturbs people is how it could be simulated as child parts. A crown of doll arms and eyeballs, ribs made out of limbs. I think the emotion comes with what we are warring in our culture current-day, with dehumanizing children in various scenarios.

Then the lady in the background acting like a little girl/doll makes all of it weird.

So I want to make mention of the figures in the background, the red and white one with the faces covered up. These are John Galliano pieces.

So,Luigi and Iango are the photographers for this whole thing, and they had this revering photo of John Galiano's piece.Just thought I'd point that out.
I don't know who directed and created the concept for this entire shoot,but just thought it was worthy to point out influences
