The call breaks her daydream, as she shifts her attention away from the endless view of land in front of her. She turns her head to the back, where the former-Karlan’s higher-up is walking towards her.
“Gnosis.” She greets back genially. “How unusual. What has brought you up here?”
“I assume you've heard the news.” He states as he stops beside her.
“Have I?” The Doctor hums thoughtfully. “I heard numerous news on the daily, unfortunately.”
“We both know which news we’re talking
about Doctor.”
The blunt answer generates a chuckle from her. “Well, does it matter?”
Gnosis scoffs but not unkindly, although there's a hint of resignation on his face. “Nothing's set in stone, Doctor. Additionally, it's still an 𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘥 engagement.” He says with an
apparent distaste.
“Which also means he's seriously considering it.” The Doctor shrugs. “The logic goes both ways, Gnosis.”
“As you said.” He nods.“However, I believe this 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 you have in mind is quite different with Enciodes’.”
“We both know him. Even more
the case for you since you've been his partner-in-crime for years.” She shrugs.
Gnosis pointedly ignores the good-natured jab, choosing to lean on the railing instead. “Aren't you?” He asks with a raised eyebrow.
“Excellent question.” The Doctor laughs. “But in the end we're just
acquaintances. The deal is between Rhodes Island and Karlan after all.”
“He'll be quite saddened to hear that.”
“I don't think so.”
“Maybe this is the gap of experience of knowing Enciodes we talked about just now, Doctor.”
“Or perhaps you're just giving more faith than it should
be for him.”
“𝘖𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦, it's you whose faith has considerably decreased.”
“Are we just going to throw each other’s words, Gnosis? I believe it does not fit in for the beautiful scenic view we’re seeing right now.”
“That will be the most futile conversation.” He
agrees. “We are not people who like to speak in riddles and blanks, Doctor.”
“Or you're simply impatient. A roundway path isn't always one that leads someone to astray.”
“Then what has made you impatient, Doctor?” Gnosis bluntly asks. “Even if the engagement leads to a marriage,
it'll be a three or five years contract at most.”
“Did Enciodes send you to gauge my reaction for that idea?” The Doctor chuckles as she leans her head on the railing, facing the dark haired male. “What a good wingman.” She teases.
“No, he didn’t.” Gnosis deflects as he stares at
the view in front of them.
“But you think he'll appreciate the information nonetheless.” She knowingly says.
“He's always glad to hear any news about you, Doctor.” Gnosis replies honestly.
“Is that so?” The Doctor chuckles. “Then will he be happy too if he's informed that I have
received a marriage proposal as well?”
“What-?” Gnosis exclaims, utterly startled as he snaps his head to her, seeking an answer. “Who?”
“It won’t be fun if I reveal it all.” Doctor laughs as she turns around and waves her hand. “Tell him that I’m
also 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 it, so Enciodes should do the same with his, Gnosis.”

Haikaveh but Alhaitham has never really seen Kaveh out of his perfect-self, tidy and pinned hair, nice scent w clean clothes and so on that when he sees Kaveh in an oversized t-shirt (which suspiciously like his), shorts short while his bang is pinned up so his forehead is free
to the world and softly murmuring "morning" with a sleepy face, Alhaitham knows his old love for the older male will undoubtedly be reignited again.
((and he's right, as usual))
((the problem is said object of affection is adorable as perfect-veh and homey-veh and he
almost can't stop the urge to tease Kaveh 24/7 just to see his pout and expressive face))
((he knows this is not a good way to start courting someone))
((especially when he wants to kiss Kaveh as he nags him off))
((maybe they should just skip dating and go straight to marriage))
Alhaitham once read that there's always joy in unexpected things.
Back then he didn't pay the line any mind. While the book was quite pleasant to read, that particular line was too inapplicable in his life. He set
everything with practicality in mind, which made any result that was generated was within his expectation, in a way.
However, now that he’s almost thirty, he can proudly say that there’s one thing that actually fits the phrase for him now.
“Baba!” The little giggle takes his
attention back to the little blob of toddler who’s sitting on her baby chair. Her wide, ruby eyes are staring at him expectantly, while her arms are raised in the air at him. Her tiny little fingers are wiggling and reaching at him as he approaches her with her bowl of food.
If Alhaitham can say that he's a feeble scholar w a straight face, what's stopping him from pretending to be weak in front of his youngest daughter, so he can see her, who's an exact replica of Kaveh, (slightly) panicking while 'helping' him to get to the sofa
and then rubs his "hurting knee" gently so the pain will go away? His seven years old daughter even gets him a pillow to be put on said knee and it's not until she's on the verge of crying for his pained papa that Alhaitham stops and is "magically" healed by her care.
Of course she told Kaveh, who then nags his husband in private for teasing her
Hc that Childe is actually pretty spoiled by Pantalone and Capitano that it actually surprises the traveler when they visit Snezhnaya.
There's a luxurious carriage for Childe and when they arrive at the Palace, it's just so /coincidental/ that Capitano is at
the entrance door and the traveler watches dumbfoundedly how Childe approaches Capitano like a happy fox and instead of being /hmph/ and fearsome yadda yadda, the rumored First Harbinger actually pets Childe's head and very fondly at that.
They meet the Ninth at dinner, where the
dark-haired male comes over to Childe instead of sitting down. He just /naturally/ cradles the side of Childe's head while standing on his side and converses w him. It's also unhingedly natural and domestic how Childe stabs a piece of the high quality steak and feeds it to
