while in the U.S. preparations are well underway for a Federal Central Bank Digital Currency (“CBDC”) which will be inherently programmable. This would allow for the Federal government’s full control and denial of all transactions, unless such actions are outlawed.
Patriots are communicating their opinions on the topic of a programmable CBDC being used for retail transactions in the U.S. to their elected representatives.
If implemented, such a digital currency must at a minimum be universally accepted and completely free from restrictions on 1) otherwise-legal transactions and 2) amounts spent on any product or service over any period of time.
