It’s true more time would have been great to implement this cashless policy. Payment companies have been attempting to digitize payments for retail merchants for years without success as people do not want a change in behavior
We are addicted to cash and it’s showing up now. The CBN did not anticipate an exchange for old naira cash to new naira cash. Their desire is for people to digitize and open accounts. Merchants are supposed to provide bank accounts for customers to pay into
Or use alternative channels. NIBSS works well. If you consider it’s percentage uptime annually it’s great. We financial services players also have a role to make things easier through ease of reversals when transactions fail.
We truly all have a role to play to relieve ourselves of hardships. People should stop hoarding and selling naira, people should stop running after cash like cocaine, traders should accept other forms of payment and while all these is happening we can advocate
And make our voices heard if what we truly want is more time. A lot of people are confused. On one hand hailing the CBN governor because they believe this policy is targeted at some political candidates, with the same breath screaming bloody murder.
We’re not great followers and that’s why we never have great leaders. The leaders of tomorrow would at one point be followers and our attitude at followership will show up at leadership.
If I ever write a book, it would be on the crisis of followership. So much literature and research has focused on leadership with not enough on being a good follower which is the training school for leadership
Finally, please I’m almost an elderly person. I don’t know how to fight on twitter please don’t insult me. Just disagree reapectfully. I might even agree with your superior argument 😀🙏🏾
