Idol AU | Idol Atsu | Make-up Artist Omi

“I like him,” Atsumu watches the new makeup artist, Kiyoomi, apply red eyeliner on Kenma.

“Well, what are you going to do about it?” Oikawa rolls his eyes, poking at his hair. +

“Whatever, now you and Kiyoomi, hold still,” Oikawa licks his thumb then smudges Atsumu’s eyeliner and eyeshadow, “there you go.”

“What the- Oikawa?! Not again. Kiyoomi’s going to kill me!” Atsumu grabs the mirror out of Oikawa’s hand looking at his now smudged up left eye. +

“You’re welcome,” Oikawa smiles.

Atsumu scowls, “I look like I have a black eye. Come on, you know I promised him I’d stop messing up at the last second.” +

“Oh there’s Iwa-Chan I have a question for him,” Oikawa winks then runs over to their vocal coach, who doesn’t look happy.

Atsumu sighs as he sheepishly walks over to where Kiyoomi is finishing up Kenma’s make up.

“Hey Omi…” Atsumu quietly says getting the man’s attention. +

Kenma’s the first to notice Atsumu’s eye, He quickly slinks away with this hair still in their little clips. Kiyoomi turns around. His typical blank stare is easy to read now. It’s cold and they both know there’s a scowl under Kiyoomi’s mask. +

Atsumu tries to shrink himself down to Kenma’s size to no avail.

“Sit,” Kiyoomi says, pulling out a makeup remover and some wipes.

“I-“

“Don’t say anything,” Kiyoomi’s eyebrows furrow in frustration, but still gently wipes away the ruined makeup,+

“I purposely made sure you were the second to last to get your makeup on, since Kozume doesn’t like stage makeup. How in ten minutes you managed to not only ruin your entire left eye, but look like someone just punched you? Why does purple have to be your color?” +

Atsumu doesn’t reply.

Kiyoomi mutters, “You better be praying I can finish this in the little time I have.”

“Kiyoomi, I’m sure we have plenty of time.”

“Ten minutes till!” Their stage director, calls out over Kiyoomi’s radio. +

“I believe in you,” Atsmu says, his eyes still closed.

Atsumu hears a click of a makeup container popping open.

“Hey Omi,” Atsumu says, “Can I ask you something?”

Kiyoomi doesn’t respond.

“Why don't you wear makeup? Ya the first makeup artist I’ve met who never wears any.” +

Kiyoomi ignores Atsumu’s question again.

“Omi?” Atsumu opens his eyes.

“Miya,” Kiyoomi warns.

“Tell me then I’ll close them.”

“We don't have time Miya,” Kiyoomi rolls his eyes, but also knows he won’t be able to finish with Miya’s stubbornness, +

“fine I’ll tell you as I’m finishing.”
Atsumu smiles, closing his eyes.

“Relax your face,” Kiyoomi instructs. Atsumu follows direction then patiently listens to Kiyoomi’s story. +

“The reason why I don’t wear makeup is because my skin is really sensitive. I break out easily and when I take it off my skin gets red and puffy. I like wearing it, but it’s easier for me not to wear any to avoid all of that,” Kiyoomi sighs, “Look at me. Keep your eyes on me.” +

Atsumu looks up and his eyes train on Kiyoomi’s forehead where there’s two little moles above his eyebrow. He feels the cool touch of Kiyoomi’s gloved hand rest on his cheek as his bottom eyeliner is applied.

“How did you get so good?” +

“My cousin. I put makeup on him and he did my hair,” Kiyoomi then adds some powder on Atsumu’s cheek.

“Cute Omi,” Atsumu’s eyes look farther up watching a curl flop in front of Kiyoomi’s face, he blushes behind his mask, “Are you blushing?” +

“No. You're done. Anyway now, go to your mark,” Kiyoomi snaps the powder he was holding shut. Atsumu takes watches as Kiyoomi strips his gloves off revealing his fingers that are painted a dark purple. +

“Thanks Omi. I really owe you. Oh if I find some makeup that doesn’t bother your skin, I’d like to see you in some,” Atsumu is full of smiles as he runs off to the rest of the members.
